-Day 11: The Seaside City of Bodhum-
-Lei-
I wish for something interesting to happen in my life soon. There. That's all I'm gonna ask the fireworks for. Hmph, like it's gonna even work. The stories may say the fireworks at the Bodhum Annual Firework Display grant people's wishes, but I'm not two. I don't believe in that kind of crap anymore. Course, the same can't be said for my two friends, who where stood next to me, staring awestruck at the not-so-amazing firework display that I had seen every year since I was five. The novelty of it wore of when I was eleven. I'm seventeen now, and I wouldn't have come this year if it weren't at my friends' insistence. Deli and Cas had LITERALLY got down on thier hands and knees to beg me to come with them. To get them to shut up, I said yes. Only good thing about being in Bodhum means I'm not back in Nautilis, pretending to be enthusiastic about going to the park, again. Everywhere I go nowadaysis boring. It's always a "Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt" thing. Damn. Well, at least the display is over. I barely paid any attention as the last firework went off, and the crowd began cheering, then dispersing. I just starting worming my way through everyone, trying to get out and get back to the little rented home me, Cas and Deli where staying. They walked behind me, buzzing about the fireworks. This year was the first time they had ever been, and probably not the last. They'd probably force me to come next year, too. Yay. There was one good thing about coming to Bodhum every year, though. When I was ten, I started practising archery, and my parents found out that Bodhum sold the best bows and arrows. So, every year, I could get a new archery set. I got my new set yesterday, Immediatly after we arrived. The other two had headed down to the house, they to the main beach, where the fireworks where just displayed, to sunbathe. The new bow that I had bought was made of mulberry wood, with arrows made of the same wood and with acid green feathers on the end. Cant wait to test them out when I get home! Speaking of homes, we just had just arrived at the rented home we where stopping at untill the day after tommorrow. The plan for tommorrow was realxing down on the main beach again, where we had just been. Exciting. At least I had a book, that's something positive that can be said. But, Cas and Deli were gonna be all, "Let's go swimming!""Let's do this, let's do that!" That was something they did yesterday, and I wasn't looking forward to another day of it. But, what can I do? I thought as I climbed the stairs to my room. I grabbed my blue shorts and black camisole, went to the bathroom, changed, washed my teeth and trecked back to my bedroom and chucked my clothes in my suitcase. I could hear Cas and Deli in the latter's room, giggling about something.
"Oi, Lei!" I heard Deli shout. "Come in here for abit."
"No, thanks," I called back. "I'm quite tired. I think I'll just to bed."
"'Kay," was the reply. "See you in the morning." The giggling and chatter resumed as I climbed between the soft, white sheets, turned out the lamp and closed my eyes. Just before I fell asleep, I found myself repeating my wish from before, out loud this time.
"I wish something interesting will happen in my life soon."
