'Doctor. I've been meaning to tell you something for a long time.' she said, gazing up at him.
'Yes. Me too.' he replied. He looked at her with such compassion, such admiration, but most importantly; with love.
'Doctor.. I-' Clara began.
'I know.' he interrupted her, 'You too.'
They both looked at each other, almost in shock. They hugged. A very tight hug, one that is full of love. Full of promise. Full of forever. The TARDIS had been working fine of late, the Doctor and Clara had saved a few planets, hung out with Jane Austen and visited Jenny, Vastra and Strax for a mystery chase that span throughout seven galaxies. They were having the time of their lives. One day, just one day. The day that they confessed how they feel to each other, the TARDIS broke down.
Suddenly, red flashing lights emitted from every single light in the room. The cloister bell rang loudly, the Doctor looked panicked; as did Clara. 'What's going on!?' Clara shouted across the console as she struggled to grab hold of the console.
'I don't know! We aren't moving but the sheer turbulence is frightening!' The Doctor replied, his hands and fingers pressing so many buttons, flicking so many switches and pulling too many levers for comfort. All the lights went out. Darkness.
'Clara?' the Doctor asked, the tone of his voice was very worried.
'I'm here Doctor' she said, holding onto his hand. 'I'm right here, where I always have been, and where I always will be.'
