Well, I don't write many fan fics(I tend to write original fiction), but I DO love the X-men, so I hope you enjoy this. I hope to keep it going for a long time.
As usual, I don't own the copyright to any of the Marvel characters yada-yada-yada.
He sat there, a dark soul in darker shadows, staring intently at the only available light in the room--a small circle emitting from a lone overhead light bulb in the middle of the ceiling. Because he was still, he could hear many things--his own even breathing, his fingers drumming on the table, which sounded like heavy raindrops falling on a tin, oil drum, airplanes taking off and landing from the nearby airport, and footsteps coming down the hall towards his door.
He creased his eyebrows in thought. That was odd. There should have been two sets of footsteps. He, after all, had sent his servant to fetch his warrior. Her mission? To exterminate a rather annoying species.
The door opened and she stepped inside. He beheld her beauty for a moment before her voice broke the stillness. "Master."
"Warrior."
"I am here, as you requested."
"Yet, you seem to be missing someone."
"Your aid? I killed him."
"Why?"
"Because he touched my arm."
He grinned. In her murderous act, there had been no hesitation, no regrets. She was ready.
"Why do you not respond? Are you not pleased? I was bred for this very purpose, and you act surprised when I exercise my lineage?"
He waved her off. "Do not fret, dear. I am not angry. On the contrary, I am quite pleased. Now...about why you were brought here...do you know the X-men?"
"You know I do."
"Of course. I want them...gone."
"Master?"
"They are bugs, warrior...bugs that can easily be squashed."
"That will not be an easy task."
"Maybe for someone who is lacking in your area of expertise, but for you, I'm sure it won't be that difficult."
And just like the wind, she left. The open door, which was previously closed, was the only evidence of her being there.
