Leo wasn't sure what to do. He had spent many months trying to help his sister, Corrin, save the world from the evil set on destroying everything. He shared a tent with Takumi, Corrin's little brother from Hoshido. At first, neither prince enjoyed being paired like this, but they slowly bonded over their similar tastes for reading, soups, and strategy games.

Then he'd discovered Takumi's nightmares. The blond awoke one night to the silver-haired prince violently crying. He brought Takumi some water and once Takumi had calmed down, Leo had listened to him talk until morning. This happened almost nightly, with both princes looking exhausted and them making shitty excuses to both Xander and Ryoma about why they had been up all night.

On this night, Leo awoke to Takumi calling his name. He arose from his bed and crossed the tent to Takumi's bed. There he founds Takumi moaning, twisted up in his sheets and covered in sweat. He woke the Hoshidan prince up because he didn't want the nightmare to continue.

After Takumi calmed down and the two were talking again, Takumi curled up on the bed and laid his head in Leo's lap. Leo absent-mindedly started stroking the archer's hair while he talked. Before long, Takumi's sentences slowed, then stopped altogether as Leo started hearing faint snores. He smiled as he continued stroking Takumi's hair until he too fell asleep.

In his dreaming, he wondered what exactly was going on between Takumi and himself. The two were practically inseperable, weather in camp or on the battlefield. He wondered what the warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest was. Surely he couldn't be in love with Takumi. After all, he loved Xander, Camilla, Corrin, and Elise; yet it didn't feel quite like this.

In the morning, he woke to find a pair of amber eyes staring up into his own brown ones.

"Good morning, Leo," Takumi said.

"Morning, Takumi. How are you this morning?" Leo asked.

"I'm feeling refreshed for once. I dreamt of my mother letting me lie in her lap and her stroking my hair. I thought of the days when i was a child and I awoke feeling more loved than i have in years," came the archer's reply.

Leo's face flushed. "You laid your head in my lap and i stroked your hair last night."

At that moment, Takumi kissed Leo. Leo was taken aback at first, but then he reciprocated the kiss, crushing his lips against Takumi's just as hard as Takumi was against Leo's.

"I can't believe I just did that," Takumi breathed as they broke their kiss. "I think I'm in love with you, Leo."

"Why do you say that?" Leo questioned.

"I always get a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever I'm with you, and I don't get that with anyone else," Takumi replied.

"I get that feeling too," Leo said. "Is that love?"

"I think so," Takumi replied.

"Then I think I'm in love with you, Takumi," Leo said.

Right there in their tent, the world stopped and they felt free.
