Bombs fell, striking with a loud explosion. There were screams as the ground shook. In one building, were two teens. A boy with snow white hair and brilliant red eye the other a girl, with dirty blonde hair and forest green eyes. The blonde had her hair in two pigtails but since the bombing
happened they long ago came undone. They had came together to the building to seek refuge. They gave up trying to fight back and didn't bother running away. They would have died anyway. Out there. In here. It didn't matter. Their fate was already decided. The two were sitting in a corner and the boy held the girl close.
"Soul..." The girl said, looking up at him. Tears pricked her eyes, but she was determined to not let them go.
"Shh Maka. Everything will be ok." He told her. But they both knew that was a lie.
"Let's make the best of it ok?" Soul stood up and gave Maka his hand. She took it and he helped her up. Soul brought Maka closer, placing his hands on her waist. Maka wrapped her arm around his neck. The two began to slow dance. Maka rested her head on Soul's shoulder.
"Soul sing me a song."
"What song?"
"Any song. It doesn't matter." The white haired male nodded. He looked up at the ceiling, trying to think up a song. He made a small smile. He looked down at Maka who had her eyes closed. Soul cleared his throat and began.
"You are my sunshine..."
Another bomb fell and it cause the ground to shake.
"My only sunshine..."
You could hear the screams and cries of the terrified people trying to escape the chaos.
"You make me happy..."
Soul looked outside the window across the room.
"When skies are grey…"
It was a horrid sight. Buildings collapsed, dead boodies, fire, smoke, and... blood... so much blood...
"You never know dear, how much I love you..."
There was another explosion closer than the one before. Maka lifted her head from Soul's shoulder. Her cheeks were wet from her tears. Soul wiped her cheek with his thumb.
"Please don't take-"
The last bomb landed on the building. The building fell and the remains were lit on fire. And Soul never finished his song...
