Author's Note: This is from Amy's point of view…. I was pressured to put this on by TARDIS Blue Carbuncle. Sorry if this is really cheesy…I had to do this for creative writing class.
The Time of My Life
By: Blue TARDIS Everdeen
Time travelling is like a blue police box;
Solid and rough; things not as they seem.
Time travelling is like a GMC DeLorean;
Gleaming and shining; streamlined and fast.
Time travelling is wibbly-wobbly; like JELL-O in a world of solid things.
Ever-changing; pulsating to its own beat.
Time travelling is like vanilla custard;
You keep dipping and dipping;
Each time adding more and more.
I've always wanted to go see the stars and travel in time;
As a girl I'd dreamed of it.
Then one day I got swept away;
By a wonderful madman and his magical box.
He says his name is the Doctor; and he's looking for an adventure.
Outside, planets and dates wiz by; dangerous places
But inside, safe and sound, I'm watching with wonder out the windows.
The young- looking man drops me off from time to time.
He says I need to "live my human life."
But the next time he sees me, I'm nearly fifteen years older.
The wonderful reminisces, the glorious stories I told;
Everyone thought I had an imaginary friend.
But he wasn't imaginary; he was real.
Then on the night before my wedding day, I got whisked away again.
In the wonderful box; "No! It's called the TARDIS!" I'm told;
The Doctor says it's nearly nine centuries old.
He says he is as old as the box;
I don't believe him; he looks too young.
The TARDIS grinds and whirrs with each passing minute; its buttons gleaming, waiting for his caring touch.
I've travelled with him for a while now;
I've brought my husband, Rory, along with us too.
It takes him awhile to adjust to this grand life;
I tell him not to worry; it will only cause him strife.
We encounter monsters; creatures big and small;
We are running, flying; having a ball!
My life now is much like a spinning wheel;
I can go forward and back, whenever I feel.
I remember when I was alone and dreaming;
Wondering when my life would begin.
I'm pretty sure I will never be able to have a normal life like he wanted;
Never being able to have a proper family.
But I like it here in the TARDIS;
Travelling with my wonderful boys,
It's one of my life's many joys.
