Rachel stared at the unyielding and uninterested faces of the girls in the room. Apparently they didn't care that much about the girls versus boys boys competition Mr. Schue had organized.

"Why don't you go spy on the Garglerettes," Santana said, flicking her file towards the door in obvious dismissal.

"The Warblerettes," Rachel corrected her.

"Whatever. Just go."

Rachel rolled her eyes, grabbing the pin board of fabric swatches she had set up and storming out.

Crawford Country Day was a huge old building with wide open lawns and neatly trimmed shrubs lining the buildings. Rachel had quickly gotten lost in the mass of girls walking around and was walking down a staircase that looked kind of familiar (but everything looked the same here, so she could be wrong) when she gave up.

"Excuse me," she called to a passing girl.

She paused, turning to look up and Rachel's breath caught in her throat. "Um, hi, can I ask you a question? I'm-I'm new here."

The girl smiled, her green eyes lighting up as she offered her hand. "My name is Quinn."

Rachel shook it carefully. "Rachel. So what exactly is going on?"

"The Warblerettes," Quinn explained with a chuckle. "Every now and then they throw an impromptu performance in the senior commons. Tends to shut the school down for awhile."

"So, wait, the Glee Club here is kinda… cool?" Her brow furrowed.

Quinn let out a laugh, high and sweet. "The Warblerettes are, like, rock stars!" At Rachel's incredulous look, Quinn reached out again, twining their fingers together. "Come on, I know a shortcut."

She allowed herself to be pulled down the hall, trying to take in everything and keep up with Quinn, who released her hand to open a set of doors leading into a room full of girls, some moving furniture around while others settled on various surfaces.

"Oh, I stick like a sore thumb," Rachel breathed, taking in the outfits the other girls were wearing.

Quinn chuckled again. "Well next time don't forget your vest, new kid," she said, reaching out to straighten the tie Rachel had borrowed from Kurt before seting her satchel aside as a few other girls gathered in front and began harmonizing. "Now, if you'll excuse me." She joined the other girls, standing right in front and began singing.

You think I'm pretty

Without any makeup on

You think I'm funny

When I tell the punchline wrong

Rachel couldn't tear her eyes away.

A/N: So I saw this gifset on tumblr that was a 'Klaine as Faberry AU' and as I drove to work today, this idea popped into my head. Sorry…
