"Albus Severus Poooottteeerrr!"
Albus grunted and put his hands over his ears. But ignoring James-especially a singing, well, rater croaking James is very hard thing to do. Why couldn't his foolish friends think of a prank? When he was busy with something like that, at least he wouldn't irritate Albus!
"What do you want James?" Albus finally asked, giving up on closing his ears.
James pouted like a baby and flung himself over his Slytherin brother. "Why brother dear, can't a brother show his love to his younger sibling?"
"Go and irritate Lily, would you?" Albus said, peeping in his book. Why did Scorpius have to fall sick this weekend?
"Not that I would not like it," James said, "but she has presently acquired a talent to throw the worst of hexes and I do not wish to be a practice target."
Albus huffed. Why did he have to be born in such a family? World famous father, Quidditch star, an annoying yet brilliant brother and a talented sister? He should have been someone low key-not the child of Harry Potter!
"ALLLBUSSS!"
Albus finally gave up, stood and ran inside the castle. He was done.
Albus had no idea where he was running to. He just wanted to clear his head.
So when he finally stopped outside a weird looking door he had never seen before in his life. Looking around, he realized he had never been a place like this either. Judging by the temperature drop and stone structure over his head, Albus took a very normal guess that he was in the lower levels of Hogwarts.
Albus looked around, seeing no one. How low had he come? This was pretty unnatural even for him. Maybe he was in the Room of Requirement? But no, Albus would have remembered entering a room like that.
Suddenly Albus was aware of many things. How he was alone. How he was in a place no one had ever been in before. How the door in front of him had eagle carved.
Wait, eagles? Like Ravenclaw's eagles? Albus had always had a curiosity about Ravenclaw. She was a very gifted witch and had come up with ever-changing floor and stair plans of Hogwarts. At time sit was very unfortunate but it was a masterpiece.
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. Gulping, Albus decided opening the door was worth the risk. Who knows, maybe it would be locked!
Tucking the book under his hand, Albus took slow steps and gently pushed the door open. To his surprise and some relief, it was open. He pushed more and soon the door opened to reveal the biggest library he had ever seen.
Albus felt himself melt under the sight of so many books. He wasn't a bookworm, but books gave him an escape from the world. The chance to go away and never come back. The escape he needed from reality.
Slowly taking a step forward, he looked around. The place was huge! It must have had hundreds and hundreds of books. And Albus sure did not need anything else.
Albus now broke into a run and grabbed a book. Opening it, he found that it was written in Ancient Greek. But, Albus understood it.
'Maybe it is the magic of the library.' He thought and found himself on the floor, immersed in the book of ancient and lost magic.
