A/N I spent two months writing this... my version of the Lay of Luthien. Hope it's good!

The Lay of Luthien And Beren

Cold evening on the World fell
Yet in a wooded, misty dell

Luthien ran dancing there
And Varda's light shone in her hair

And in her eyes unwavering

And at her sight Beren grew crazed
And sought after the Elvish maid

For Luthien's beauty shone afar
As he saw her, glimmering, like a star

And searching in the autumn rain
Beheld her dancing like a flame

Yet wearied by the league-long chase
No longer able to hold the pace

Luthien fell, and Beren, staying
Took her in his arms, and saying

"Tinuviel! Tinuviel!"
Caught the heart of her he loved so well.
