So if you had told me a few years ago that I would write something that showed May in a positive light, I would have told you you were an idiot. I hated her, because she didn't like Pokemon. But as the show went on she grew up. And finally, after what she did for Manaphy, May earned my respect. So now you get this, a funny little oneshot between May and Drew. Enjoy.

"Dang it, I'm so stupid sometimes!" May was extremely frustrated with herself. She had made a rookie mistake and it had cost her the contest. Now she was standing outside feeling like a complete idiot, so the voice behind her wasn't going to help.

"Honestly May, I haven't seen you pull something that dumb in months. It baffles me sometimes how you manage to make it so far and then do something like this."

The young coordinator whipped around to glare at her antagonist. "Go away Drew! I'm not in the mood to hear you criticize me."

He flipped his hair in his trademark fashion and smirked. "Nobody is ever in the mood to be criticized May, but we all have to hear it sometimes. Especially when we make such huge slipups."

She growled and balled her hands into tight fists. "Will you just shut up and leave me alone! I feel bad enough knowing how beaten up Glaceon is from my stupid mistake, I don't need to hear it from you too."

Her rival frowned. "Glaceon will be fine. Nurse Joy will make sure of that. The only thing you should feel bad about is making yourself look like an idiot."

May glared at the ground. "I asked you to leave, so will you please just go?"

"Now where's the fun in that? Your company is always so much more entertaining."

"Can you not tell I want to be alone right now?" She shouted back. "God, you're absolutely infuriating Drew!"

"And you are irresistible."

May wasn't sure which surprised her more, what he'd said, or the fact that he was suddenly staring into her eyes from less than three inches away with one of the most intriguing expressions she'd ever seen.

"Especially when you're mad." He continued without moving away. "I'm not even sure why, but I just can't seem to stay away from you."

Her breathing had suddenly become very quick and shallow. "Wh-what are you-?" She'd started to back away nervously, but Drew gently grabbed her arm to prevent that.

"Don't seem so surprised. You act as if you don't realize just how beautiful you are." He ran his thumb along the inside of her wrist, and she couldn't help but notice that the distance between them was shortening even further. "But then again, you've always been sort of clueless."

Just like that his lips were on hers and she lost the ability to think. She'd never been kissed before, so the sensation was completely new. She closed her eyes and let him continue.

After a moment Drew pulled back with a whisper. "Don't beat yourself up May. Keep training, you'll do great next time." He let go of her arm and walked away.

May slowly opened her eyes to see him go, leaving her confused but contented with a rose in her hand.

I actually wrote this like two months ago, but never got around to uploading it. Either way it's here now and I hope you enjoyed it. Reviews are always appreciated. Thanks for reading.
