The look of complete and utter irritation sat upon his second's face, twisting those luscious lips into a twisted frown. Concerned by the scene of his friend, Bankotsu called out from the porch of their home, a cup of sake in hand to give to Jakotsu, "What's troubling you?"

Grabbing the offered drink and slamming it back in one gulp before wiping his mouth with the lavender sleeve of his relatively short kimono, Jakotsu retorted in exasperation, "I've just had the worst day ever!"

Taking a swig from his own cup, curious even more as to the explanation, he replied haughtily, "It couldn't have been that bad."

Glaring at his leader and friend, Jakotsu snapped, "Oh yeah… for your information, I had to help an elderly priestess cross the road, stop a horde of runaway goats from trampling a perfectly good herb garden, and help a woman give birth. I feel like such a 'good' boy that all I want to do now is get really bad."

As Jakotsu explained all his good deeds, Bankotsu spit out all the sake that he was trying to drink, shooting most of it between his mouth and nose as he tried to keep himself from laughing. "What's so funny?" Jakotsu asked as he saw his leader catch his breath between fits of laughter.

After a few seconds, having caught his breath, Bankotsu explained, "Jakotsu… I've known you for a while and I sincerely doubt that you'd have done any of those things. You'd have as soon killed the old woman and the pregnant wench than help either of them. As for the goats… You'd have let them trample the herb garden because you can't stand both. That's what's so funny. It's completely out of character for you to be helpful to anyone other than myself of the other members of our group."

"But I did do all those things!" Jakotsu whined as the words sunk in that Bankotsu didn't believe him. Grabbing his leader's arm he said, "Here, I'll show you."

They moved through the small town, each of the peasants grinning and waving at the effeminate man. They passed the small cottage of the elderly priestess, as she called out, "Thank you for helping me across the road!"

Waving back, Jakotsu smiled lightly at the gratitude of the woman. Bankotsu began to look at his friend in a different light as they passed the corral of goats, the owner jabbering about how Jakotsu had helped stop the stamped and herd them back into the corral. Grinning almost from ear to ear, Jakotsu made one last stop at a small cottage on the edge of town. After a few minutes, they were allowed entrance by a young woman holding a newborn babe to her breast. When asked what happened, she explained that Jakotsu had helped her in her time of need, encouraging her to push since the baby was coming too fast and she wasn't anywhere near where others could help her.

After saying their 'good-bys' they turned back toward their home as Bankotsu slapped the effeminate man across the back. "I completely underestimated you Jakotsu," he said as they neared their home. "I never expected you to do such good things."

"Yeah," he replied a bit crest fallen, "All that good stuff just makes me feel dirty. Now I need to do something really bad…. Nasty and twisted."

Catching his meaning, Bankotsu smacked him hard across the ass as he said, "I'm sure that we can arrange that!"
