"Sweetheart – Just come back here, please."

"Don't call me sweetheart!" A young, brunette girl screamed. Tears were in her eyes. Her boyfriend threw a bottle at her, causing her to scream and duck out of the way. She locked herself in the bathroom, her boyfriend left her there. Going to sit on the couch. She didn't come out til she heard loud snoring and slowly crept into her room, grabbing a bag ad pulling any clothes she could with her.

She also took a few personal items, leaving to find a place somewhere, anywhere. She had to leave Colorado and she had to leave now. She got some money and left in a hurry, running to the bus depot as it began to rain, her shoes soaking wet as she ran. She got on the bus she could afford and changed into dry clothes when she reached a good place to stop.

The girl's legs hurt by the time she got to a motel, it was sketchy and she stayed there for a short while, leaving early in the morning. She got a few rides and took more buses until she reached Oregon and then she found the motel that looked nice, one she could stay at til she got her feet back under her. She didn't have any family near her; that she knew of. She hadn't had family in a while.

Her mother had died when she was a teenager and her father couldn't take much heartbreak from that.

"Hi, yes – I'd like a room." A tall girl said as she approached the front desk. "I need a name and credit card." Norma Bates smiled, waiting for her to provide the items.

"I have a debit card. Will that be okay? I don't use credit." The girl questioned, putting both things on the counter. "Absolutely fine! I'll just, uh... Put it in as credit. And your name is... Alice W- " A car horn interrupted Norma and she sighed. She quickly processed Alice and gave her a room key, letting her walk away.

"Hey, Norma... Do you have rooms available?" Someone asked. Alice met eyes with a handsome man, a slight smirk crossed her face as she stopped. Her smirk dropped when she saw the man driving the van, she watched him walk around the van and didn't bother to catch his eye as she ran to her room. She fiddled with the key and was panicking as she shoved it into the lock. Alice turned it quickly and pushed the door open, slamming the door behind her and locking it.

She pushed her back to the door, sliding down it as she leaned up and flicked open the blinds, seeing the people going into different rooms.

"Who was that?" The guy Alice was trying to avoid. "She looks familiar."

"I don't know, she was cute." The blond guy replied, shrugging. "What are you? Twelve? 'She's cute'?"

The blond rolled his eyes at the older man, shaking his head. Alice had only a few changes of clothes in her bag, she had left wherever she was previous in a hurry. She waited till the van had left and didn't see the people anymore before she got up, opened her door and closed it behind her. Beginning to lock it and walk quickly before her arm was grabbed.

Alice was turned around forcefully and quickly, clenching her jaw she might eyes with the man shorter than her.

"You..." The man said, holding her arm tightly. Alice just stared at him. "Remo, is there a problem?" The blond shouted. "No, Dylan." He replied, shaking his head.

"Alice, how are you... When did you...?" Remo questioned, trailing off in disbelief. "Hi." He said, using the only word he could form as his eyebrows furrowed.

"Hi, dad." Alice replied, breathing shakily as she smiled nervously. "How ya been?" She laughed, not knowing what to say herself.
