Hinata always puts extra effort into her cooking around Valentine's Day. That's because she's making chocolates for Naruto. Even though she never manages to gather enough courage to give her creations to Naruto, she still works hard with the hope that this year will be the year she will be able to confess her love for him.

Everyone wonders why she loves Naruto. She admits he's not attractive in the same way Sasuke is. Naruto does not have that dark-haired princely appearance. Naruto has bright spiky blond hair and eyes the color of a lake. No, he's no prince. At least until one looks at his personality. Below his hyperactivity and brashness, there is a chivalrous heart that wants nothing more than to protect the weak. Hinata loves Naruto for his personality. He is everything she longs to be and more.

Every year she makes chocolates for him and tells her that every time she does, she takes another step towards being like Naruto. She tells herself this and she believes that one day she will manage to give her chocolates to Naruto. When that day comes, she hopes Naruto will respond in kind. Who knows? Maybe Hinata will manage to give Naruto the chocolates one year, and she will hear the words she longs to hear from Naruto in return.
