Chapter 1
A Girl
It was a stormy night at the Titans Tower, and everyone was doing their normal everyday things. Raven was reading a book called Winter's Eve, with her temper rising as Beast Boy and Cyborg recklessly played their game of Stankball.
Meanwhile, Starfire and Robin were in the kitchen. Starfire was trying to make her famous Tameranian dish Floshourgew. While, Robin was trying to be a decent guy and puke in the process at learning about his friend's culture.
In a dead moment, a flash of lightning lit up the main room and all the lights blew out. Making the tower look dark and spooky. "What was that?" Robin asked.
"I don't know..." Cyborg turned on his flashlight to go turn on the backup generator. "Let's go and see what-"
He was soon cut off by an eerie scream coming from another part of the tower.
"Raven, if this is some sort of prank-" Beast Boy's voice came from beside Cyborg.
"Why would I joke?" Raven glared in the changeling's direction.
Robin looked towards Cyborg as he finally turned the generators on. "This way!" Robin yelled as the door opened.
"We are going towards the scream?" Starfire questioned as she turned the stove off.
Beast Boy looked towards Starfire. "Why not?"
Robin wasn't surprised his team mates didn't follow him right away. They were always uneasy about these things since the last Halloween.
However, when the boy wonder finally got to the main entrance, there was a girl with long golden blonde hair lying there. Her eyes were closed so it seemed like she fainted upon arriving at the tower. Some of her hair drooped down into her face covering most of her features. By the looks of it she was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt with laces at the end of the sleeves and she also wore velvet sweat pants. However, she only had socks on.
"Only socks? In this weather?" Robin asked himself. "She doesn't even have a droplet of water on her?" He walked closer and knelt down to get a closer look.
Three minutes later, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy, had arrived. Raven was the first one to enter the room. "What was it?" Raven stared at the unconscious 16 year old girl on the ground. "Who's she?" Raven pointed to the girl laying on the floor before them.
"I don't know.." Robin answered. After examining the scene some more, Robin had noticed some notebooks and such thrown around carelessly as well. They too had no sign of being wet either.
Beast Boy gazed at the girl, as if she was hypnotizing him. "Maybe we should take her upstairs to the infirmary..." He still had his eyes locked on the girl through his sentence.
"Oh yeah Beast Boy..." Raven began sarcastically "Let's just take her up to the infirmary. A strange girl we never met. Who just happened to be in the middle of the entrance hall, nope; that is not a good idea, snot booger."
Raven's words were like icicles, but got across nonetheless. "Hey! I'm just saying..." Beast Boy replied mindlessly.
Robin glanced at Raven. "Ya know, Raven's right and Beast Boy is too." Even if Robin hated to admit it. However, he wanted to go on Beast Boy's side instead. "If we take her to the infirmary maybe we can run a DNA test or something."
"You all have lost it!" Raven shouted. "She could be a threat..." She mumbled. Then, she started walked up the stairs to the common room, whilst opening up her book again.
"Are we going to ignore Raven's remark?" Starfire questioned.
"For now..." Robin answered. "Let's just figure out who she is first."
Cyborg picked the girl up and her hair fell out of her face. "I don't get it. She looks like a normal citizen." Then, walked upstairs with her.
Behind him, everyone else followed him. "Yes, but she got into the the Tower somehow..." Robin looked at the girl as they walked.
Once they arrived at the infirmary, Cyborg placed her on a bed. "Hey Robin, what's that?" Cyborg pointed to somethings in Robin hands.
Robin mindlessly looked down. "Oh!" He had completely forgotten he was holding the journals and notebooks. "I don't know, they were just laying around her. In like a thrown around way, like she was just blasted here." Robin held out the notebooks to Cyborg.
"Wow...these are really good..." The notebooks were filled with stories and drawings of the Titans. He was skimming through a dark blue notebook but as he did, he stopped at the very last page. "Uh, Robin remember that one time? You thought you were seeing Slade but he wasn't there?" Cyborg went over to the nightstand right next to the bed to lean on it facing Robin. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Yeah, but what does that have to do with any of this?" Robin looked at Cyborg with a puzzled look on underneath his mask.
"...because this is exactly how you looked when you were in Slade's hangout." He held up the notebook and showed Robin- a drawing of Robin half unconscious with his uniform beat, when he had yelled Slade's name.
Robin took the notebook from Cyborg. "No way..." Robin was hyperventilating now. "I want a DNA test this instant!" Robin felt crazy; he did. Seeing that drawing he wasn't sure that he was even awake. He felt like he was dreaming. However, he was sure of one thing, he really wanted this girl to wake up and explain everything about herself right away. Scared or not scared.
Cyborg leaned over the girl and did grabbed the easiest sample of DNA he could muster. He plucked some of her hair and took it into the observatory room. Robin followed him in. Starfire followed suit and she looked lost but a mysterious sad expression took her face at Robin's sudden giddiness.
Beast Boy he thought it best to stay with the girl in case she had woke up.
20 minutes later, the DNA test was done. On the screen it read the name 'Ray Meyers, Birthday December 1st, 1993.' Shortly afterwards though, the screen sparks began flying and the computer screen shut off.
"Aw man, now we need a new computer for in here." Cyborg momentarily wept. Later, he walked out of the room and to the bed. "So her name's Ray. Okay then..."
At the same time Cyborg announced that, all of the Titan's present let out a chorus of yawns.
Beside the bed on the nightstand, there was a digital clock that read, 1:30 AM.
Beast Boy fell plump on the ground then beside the bed and began to snore away with his finger in his mouth.
Cyborg, Robin, and even Starfire let out a couple more yawns then. "Well I'm going to bed." Cyborg announced, and walked out of the room.
Robin took one last glance at the girl and then turned to look at Starfire. "Come on, we should probably get to bed too."
"Yes." Starfire nodded. "I am feeling the drained of energy." Starfire gave a tired grin before yawning.
They began to both walk out of the infirmary. "I'm sure Beast Boy will be fine..." Robin huffed.
