Sheldon gave Amy a gentle smile as he began to put on his tan jacket.

"I've had a wonderful evening, Amy. Thank you."

They had enjoyed a meal of spaghetti with little hot dogs in it, at the request of Sheldon. Since Amy was feeling particularily pleased with Sheldon's behavior the past week, she had agreed upon watching Star Wars. She would never admit it to him, but it wasn't half bad.

"I did too. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Sheldon."

She walked him towards her door, grabbing her keys and purse from the kitchen counter on the way.

"Let me give you a ride."

Before she could put her jacket on as well, Sheldon gently took ahold of her wrist.

"I didn't want to be an inconvenience, so I texted Leonard. He should be here any minute."

Amy felt a warm sensation develope in her chest at Sheldon's words.

"You're not an inconvenience Sheldon. You have never been an inconvenience to me. But thank you for being so considerate," she hung her jacket and purse up on the hook by the door.

Sheldon stepped towards Amy, a graceful smile coming across his lips. As slowly and as gently as ever, he placed his hands on her hips, pulling her body closer to his. The smile on his face widened.

"Amy," he whispered. What he did next, Amy never expected. He pressed his forehead gently against her own, leaning his head down to accommodate for their obvious height difference.

"What?"

"Can I tell you something?"

She closed her eyes as his hands then moved to her back, his arms wrapping around her in a warm embrace.

"Anything," she whispered.

There was several moments of silence before he finally replied.

"I love you, Amy Farrah Fowler."

And then his lips were pressed against her own. They had shared many kisses since Sheldon changed their Relationship Agreement after returning from Napa Valley, but none came even close to this one.

Amy lifted her hand up to the back of Sheldon's neck, sifting her fingers through his soft, brown hair. It was moments later when they pulled apart, breathless.

"Oh, Sheldon," she felt hot tears beginning to form in her eyes and she fought with everything she had to supress them. One wrong move could send Sheldon running for the door.

"I love you, too," she looked up into the incredible blue of his eyes, accompanied by a breathtaking smile. She felt a new sensation of warmth fill her chest. She had wanted to say those words to him for so long.

He leaned his head forward, his warm soft, lips gently pressing against her forehead.

"I do love you, Amy."

She buried her face into his red Flash t-shirt, breathing in the scent of talc and baby powder. Her arms wrapped around his slender waist in affection and she held onto him tightly.

As she closed her eyes in contentment, she felt Sheldon place another kiss to the top of her head as his fingers interlaced with hers.
