Let the past die. Kill it if you have to.
That was the only phrase running through the male's head as he stared at the floor, hands folded before him. It had only been hours since he had slain his master, Snoke, but he was still waiting for the guilt to wash over him. He was still waiting to feel something from the event, but all he felt was anger. All he felt was the rage, and while he knew it was that hatred that was driving him farther down his path, pushing him closer to finishing what his grandfather had started, he wasn't satisfied with the rage alone. He knew he felt something else, but seeing as he had always done such things with such intensity, he was confused as to what that something /was/. He knew he needed her by his side, yet when she had denied him that right, he had felt rage rather than sorrow. He knew that his heart should have laid in pieces, but instead, it was on fire, a passion inside his soul driving the male closer to his destiny.
Even still, it wasn't enough. He knew his place in the universe, the title of Supreme Leader now belonging to him, but he wasn't satisfied with that alone. What he needed was more power, more respect, and the only way to get that respect was to destroy what was left of the Rebellion. They had barely escaped the last time, and he was going to make sure they didn't escape again. He couldn't fulfill his destiny until they were out of the way, and given how their numbers continued to fall, it was only a matter of time...time that Kylo didn't have. The longer they sat there planning, the more time they had for planning, as well, and the more time she had to gain power. It was the least favorable situation they could have had, and with Kylo in power now, he intended to run them into a corner.
At least, that was his plan without a single problem. He did have a problem, though, and no matter where he let his mind travel, it always ended back on her. Rey had not only declined his request to rule with him, to show the world what true power was, but she had humiliated him again and again, and that was one thing he was not going to allow. They needed to attack without her presence, and while they couldn't exactly follow her movements, Kylo could do one thing: Attack instantly. They needed to force the past to die, to make the universe see just how powerful the future would be, and that was exactly what Kylo Ren planned to do.
Taking a slow, deep breath, the male stood from his bed, turning around to move towards his door. Despite how he despised the man, he needed to inform General Hux of his new orders, as well as make sure he /followed/ them. He just hoped the idiot would actually /listen/ to him for once, given his new position. He hated the idea of ridding The New Order of his influence and intimidating aura, but he wasn't exactly against it if needed...
