With a twirl and a giggle, Phil had placed the last ornament on the small five foot tree in the middle of the front room of the little living quarters of Phil and Kevin. The shorter of the two took a step back and looked at the tree, it was perfect , he had done the lower half whilst Kevin did the top. Kevin leaned on the stool to plug the tree lights into the star and put it on the top of the tree.
"It looks fantastic, Kevin!" Phil blushed and helped him off the stool, even though he didn't need help.
With a chuckle he smiled, "It is nice. Even though I don't do Christmas much."
"I just thought maybe we'd combine what we celebrate into one." With the flick of the lights, he plugged in the tree, it's colours of blue and white shined on them making their yellow skin seem green.
Kevin smiled at the tree, he never did anything for the holidays. He had liked doing Hanukkah, since they had been around for years he found something he liked, though he never seemed to do anything. Phil on the other hand loved doing holidays, Christmas. He just loved the colours of the season.
"I have to admit, doing my first Christmas will be different." The taller one kept his smile and pulled Phil under his arm.
A knock on the metal door made them break their hold. Kevin's smile turned into a frown as he turned the knob and looked out. It was Donny and Paul, Donny sported an ugly sweater and Paul had to wear one to match, but that was what Donny liked.
"Hello handsome, we just stopped by to give you two a gift. Give it to them Pauly." Donny smiled and slapped his husband's arm. Paul grumbled and handed it over. Phil squeezed out to see the gift, he waved at the two only the short one waved back.
"Oh you shouldn't have." Kevin wasn't entirely thrilled, he didn't get them anything really, but Phil went back into the house.
"Well open it Kev!" Donny cheered as he undid the wrapping, it was a bottle of wine. "Ah.. "
"I knew you'd be surprised. Didn't I tell you Paul?"
"mmm" Paul made the noise of and stood still. Phil came back holding a small gift in his hands.
"Here, Kevin and I also have a gift for you."
At the mention of his name, Kevin looked at his lover confused and to the gift.
"Oh my, this is so unexpected. Let's just open this shall we, hmm?" with a quick rip of the little snowman paper, Donny gasped and Paul looked surprised for once. It was a weekend at a vineyard.
With loud cries of joy, the two left. Kevin couldn't understand how Phil could have afforded something like that.
"I saved it, Don gave it to me two years ago. It's still good so I re-gifted their gift. They didn't remember, well, maybe Paul did but Donny didn't seem to."
"I think you're hanging out with me too long, that's something I would do" Kevin laughed and turned the lights back on and came to sit on the couch.
"What a wonderful holiday season." he said blandly only to be tapped on the shoulder by a mistletoe holding minion.
"I think the season just got a little more wonderful…"
