Naruto had many tasks to handle given his responsibility being the Hokage, but at times he could be inattentive unintentionally. It was a busy morning as he struggled out of the warmth of bed to prepare the task in assisting his younger brother figure Konohamaru with training some of the students he was recruited to be their sensei.

Just as he could slide the black trousers on underneath the flame-styled robe, his attention was caught off to the side. His daughter; Hikari, looked at him with a slight look of concern. "Is something wrong, Hikari sweetie?" Naruto asked his child with regard to how she seemed upset. "Not really daddy...It's just, don't forget what today is." the blonde-haired kunoichi, who was no more than four years old added. Naruto pondered what she meant for a second before his eyes widened is shock and despair remembering exactly what it was.

"Crap...Today is me and your mother's anniversary, 'ttebayo! Oh man, she's gonna knock the spirits out of me if I don't make it truly special for her. We've been together nearly nine years now!" He exclaimed, rushing around to consider a reasonable solution. Hikari huffed her breath softly and ran to him, whispering a plan she had conceived over with her older brother, Soba. Naruto smiled and nodded to agree, as he was thankful to have such reliable kids who even helped when a situation was to go over his head.

Later that night, the soft sound of footsteps approached the door after their day of tedious work. It was Sakura, and she had been curious to why Naruto had not called or came around to speak to her during the day. As she slid the door open, she was in shock to be surprised by her family sitting around with a bowl of handmade dumplings. The floors and walls were also lined with decorative garlands made of blossoming flowers.

"Heh...happy anniversary, dear!" Naruto said with the most reassuring grin across his face. Sakura ran up to him and embraced a powerful, but gentle hug to having seen him after a shift at the village's clinic. "I'm gonna be honest Sakura-chan...it took me a bit-" Naruto spoke before Sakura shushed him with a soft smile. "Don't feel bad Naruto-kun, you've been working yourself a lot further than usual with tasks so I'm not upset it slipped your mind. I'm very happy though you put your mind to making something nice for us though." She added.

"Well, the kids helped me too. Their reassurance and pride to even helping their father when he's having an off-day is nothing more or less to be proud of." Naruto added as he called over Soba and Hikari with delight. The family shared a hug, just as Sakura softly kissed Naruto upon his lips. He became a bit flushed, but his expression could tell all the while he was really happy.
