Emma hated to be woken up from her afternoon naps. Not that the station was the best place to take said naps, but still...
This time she was woken by the ring of the phone.
"God damn it, who could that be?" – She cursed under her breath before finally picking up the phone.
"Ma?"
Any trace of annoyance has been vanished once she heard her son's worried tone.
"Henry? What's wrong? Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I am... I came to visit mom and bring her some lunch, but I just heard her scream..."
"W-where is she, why didn't you enter?"
"She's at the office, I tried to go in but she said for me to stay away, that it wasn't safe for me to..."
"Okay, okay" – Emma chimed in, she was far too worried to finish listening to him – "I'll be there as soon as I can!"
Emma grabbed her car keys, but decided that it wasn't enough time for that, she would have to poof away.
"Sorry, Henry…" – she whispered to herself before being engulfed in a white smoke; she and Regina had promise Henry they would only use magic in case it was necessary, and that seemed to be the case.
Emma wasn't very used to the effects of traveling by magic, so it took her a few seconds to situate herself. She had to bite a lip at the sight of a very frightened Regina over a chair holding one of her shoes. The brunette woman screamed at Emma's noisy entrance.
"Re-Regina? Are you alright?"
"Yes, Miss Swan, I'm more than fine. I just like to climb chairs so I can, you know, have a little fun…" – Regina rolled her eyes.
"Henry just called me; I thought that was something wrong and…"
"No, everything is perfectly fine and- AAAHH! THERE! STOP MOVING, YOU BITCH!"
"Hm, I am not moving?" – Emma raised an eyebrow.
"Not you, Miss Swan. HER!" – Regina screamed as she pointed to an abnormally large cockroach making its way towards the door.
"Oh my God, is that what that is? Are you afraid of this?"
"Look at this monstrosity, Emma, it's huge!"
Emma hated to admit, but scared Regina was very cute. She was pouting and stomping her feet like a child, and the tone she used to call her 'Emma' melted the blonde away.
"Couldn't you just fireball it or something?" – Emma asked.
"I… I was scared of aiming wrong and…"
"Why didn't you just poof away then?"
"And let this beast here alone to destroy my stuff? Lord no, and besides that- AH! EMMA!"
After a short silence a 'clack' sound was heard.
"There, Madam Mayor, the beast is gone."
"Can you remove it? Please?"
With a flick of Emma's wrist the insect was gone.
"Something else I could do for you, Madam?"
"Could… could you be gentle enough to help me down?"
Emma smirked as she made her way towards Regina.
"What would you do if the Savior wasn't here, huh?"
Regina blushed furiously and decided to give her just a very quiet 'thank you, Emma' in response.
