After going on his adventure, Spike finally returns home to Flower Fields.
He's greeted with a banquet in his honor.
Spike, the lowly lakitu from Flower fields, who saved the world.
He doesn't even have time to count down from three on his fingers before he's greeted by Lakilulu.
"Lakilester! You're home!" She throws her arms around him.
He hugs back, "Don't call me that."
"What?"
"Don't call me Lakilester! I'm not Lakilester anymore!"
"So, then, who are you?"
"Spike! Call me Spike!"
She frowns. "Why would I call you that?"
"Because, do you have any idea how incredibly dorky that name is?"
"So, you're saying that now you're just too cool for that name?"
"Now we're getting somewhere!"
He wants to take the words back after looking at Lakilulu's face.
"But, don't you remember? I fell in love with the dorky little Lakilester!"
Little Lakilulu is still trying to control her cloud. The cloud drags the poor little girl along. She keeps trying to get it to stop, but it's in vain. The super strong, attractive Thorn stops it for her. He winks at her, with his charming smile. She thanks him nicely, but doesn't really feel any chemistry. No. But, once her cloud takes off again, something happens. They collide with a little boy with round glasses. Both little lakitus are thrown off their clouds. Both of them laugh, loudly. They help each other up, smiling eyes meeting for the first time. "Sorry about that," he says, through laughter. "That's OK. What's your name? I'm Lakilulu." He picks up his glasses from the ground, then smiles bigger, "My name is Lakilester!" "So, haven't mastered your own cloud yet, either?" Lakilester laughs, "Nope! Maybe we can work together!" They climb back onto their clouds, and hold hands.
Yes, the dorky Lakilester is the one that Lakilulu is crazy about. The one that she can relate to. The one that was always there for her.
He is obviously thinking of the day, too.
"But, how could you like him-"
"Because, he is the one who I know will always love me for who I am. And, I love him for who he is, too."
"But, he's a dork! He hasn't even-"
"That's enough of that. Congratulations. I hope you prosper, Spike."
He winks at her, "Don't call me that."
