Hello fellow swtcw fans! It is I, finally posting part two of this fanfic. I know a lot of fanfic writers that don't post for YEARS, so at least a few weeks isn't THAT bad, but it was still a long time for me to write one chapter. Have good day, (unless you live on a planet without days, in case have a good rotation or harvest or something alien fren :3).
(WARNING: THIS CHAPTER IS VERY BAD AND CHOPPY BUT I PROMISE I'LL DO BETTER NEXT CHAPTER)
It's talking about the Healing Crystals of Fire. I remeber reading about them, but I don't I really cared. But now, I'm interested. "...it's said that the crystals can bring patients from the brink of death when all else has failed…'
I stare at the words, letting them begin to make sense. I knew that there was a sample of the crystals in the Temple someplace. Obi-Wan had showed me them back when I was under his teaching, but still not old enough to leave the Temple. He thought I would have been much more interested, (it took a lot for the Council to approve of a youngling just walking into the chamber that it's kept, based on the fact that they are very rare and hard to come by), but I didn't really care. Is it still here? If it is then I could easily save Ahsoka.
I throw open our apartment door and sprint down the hall, running past the judging looks of other Jedi heading to their own homes. I can save Ahsoka! I think, the thought overpowering any other I might have at the moment. The picture of Ahsoka talking and sitting up and smiling and breathing is spinning through my mind by the time I'm there.
I try to skid to a halt at Obi-Wan's door, but end up slamming against it and falling on the floor. He comes out after a few seconds, "Anakin?",then catches a glimpse of me on the floor.
"Anakin, what are you doing? I thought you were at the medbay with Ahsoka." He must of seen the book in my arms. "And what are you doing with that?" He helps me up and leads me inside.
His apartment is almost the same as mine and Ahsoka's. But there's not a single Life Day decoration. Or any decoration for that matter. It looks like he only has what's necessary to survival. It looks empty and void in every room.
We take a seat on his couch, and I immediately shove the book in his face, open to just the right page. "Master! Do you realize-!" I stop, panting and trying to catch my breath.
"Slow down, Anakin."
"I was in Ahsoka's room and I found this. Then, I turned to this page. Do you remeber when I was around ten and you took me to see the Healing Crystals of Fire?"
"Ye-"
"You know how they can save people from death? If we can get some of these crystals we can save Ahsoka!" I know I'm rambling but I don't care.
Obi-Wan starts stroking his beard. "Not a bad idea, Anakin, but where do you suppose we get them?"
I stare at him, dumbfounded. "The Temple doesn't still have some?" I ask.
He shakes his head. "I'm afraid not. If we were to try this, which, I'm not even sure if it would work since she's in a coma, then we would have to somehow find the crystals. That could take months, which is time we don't have."
"What else do you propose? We have no other options at this point. It's either try to find them now or watch Ahsoka die. We have nothing to loose." I close The Jedi Path. "Can't we just try?"
"You're rushing into this, Anakin. Give it a night to sleep on it,"
"Obi-Wan, she could be dead in a night!" I stand up. "She's dying, Master! And I'm not going to sit back and let it happen! What if it was me who was in a coma? Huh? Would you be waiting on your conscience to tell you that trying to save me is the right thing to do? Obi-Wan, please, can you help me? I can't do it alone. I can't live without her. I-" I swallow hard. "I love her. I need Ahsoka to live, can you please just take the risk? For Ahsoka?"
Obi-Wan doesn't look the least bit bothered by me saying I love Ahsoka, which is both surprising and relieving.
He sighs, and we stare at each other in silence for what seems like forever.
"I'll meet you in the library."
"What?"
"I'll meet you in the library." He repeats. "Try to find anything you can on the crystals."
I smile. "Thank you so much, Master."
"You're welcome, padawan. I'll be there in a second."
Now I have Obi-Wan helping me, at least. I give him a grateful nod and run back out of the room, and into the library.
"Hey, Master Plo." I greet the Kel Dor, who's sitting at a table covered in holos and books. "Have you been to the medbay today?"
"Yeah." He responds.
"How is she?"
He motions me to sit down. "She's okay, but her situation is still rather unstable I'm afraid."
I nod.
"I've been meaning to thank you, Skywalker." He says in his monotone.
"For what?" I tilt my head, confused.
He continues, ignoring me. "You've been so good to Ahsoka. Not just now, you always have. She's so lucky to have you, and I'm so sorry that she's going through this."
"Plo, if anything you deserve thanks. You're basically her father. I wouldn't even know her if it weren't for you." I give him a weak smile. "I think I know how to help her."
Obi-Wan joins the two of us after a while, and together the four of us gather any book that could have anything to do with the crystals. I find the most obvious ones like, 'Rare Crystals and How To Find Them', and 'Ancient Healers Techniques' and whatnot while Plo and my master find some that don't seem to have anything to do with them at all.
"Okay, Anakin, you start scanning these…" Plo carefully hands me a giant tower of datapads and holos. I nearly topple over with the sudden weight on my arms. "And me and your Master will keep looking."
"Alright." I say, my voice muffled by the stack. I wobble over to over to one of the longer tables in the room, (made for meeting, I assume), and spread out what I have to look at.
"This might take all night." I mutter. At the sound of a door opening, I look up, only to see my master walking into the holocron chamber. "Let me rephrase that, this will take all night." I sigh and take my seat.
Healing Crystals Of Fire
The Healing Crystals of Fire are hard to come by for a reason. Back during the first Jedi/Sith war, both sides harvested these nearly to extinction. They used to usually be quite common, existing mostly in the Expanding Regions, but in some lucky cases littered the inner worlds. These crystals have the power to save people from death, when all else has failed. The rules match the expression, 'if there is life, there is hope', as long as the patient has a heartbeat the crystals can take care of their situation, whether it's lethal injuries or illnesses.
I think of Ahsoka's heart constantly failing. Me, waking up to my padawan without a pulse, later watching her flatline in an emergency room.
But good luck trying to get your hands on these, the only ones still around are kept by some of the Order's oldest and most well-guarded Temples, and finding them elsewhere is near impossible.
I move on to the next book, but all I end up finding is a brief mention to them, so not much help there. I flip through the rest of the books with little success. I knew that this wasn't going to be easy, but it's still frustrating.

I slam my hands down on the table. "Done."
"Did you find anything?" Obi-Wan yawns across the table from me.
I sigh. "Not much. You?"
"I have, something. It's not promising."
I stand, stretching. My legs are sore and weak from the hours I've spent in a chair, reading, and the rest of my body isn't much better. "Well, what is it?"
With the Force he pulls a data pad from underneath a large stack. "I found this small passage solely focusing on them. You probably found something about them being in the Expanded Reigions?"
"Mmm-hmm."
"Well I found something on which planets. So in here there's a list of the exact planets. One's Aquarious, but that would probably take too long. But we could go to Thustra."
"Me and Ahsoka went there once." It was on a training mission two years ago, I think.
"I know. Apparently the crystals used to be quite popular there."
"How so?"
He turns to me. "The locals would harvest them by the thousands."
My eyes widen. "Wow." I murmur.
"Yeah, no kidding. The Sith would have ransacked most of the villages, but with their limited resources then, it's impossible to wipe them from the planet. Some must of slipped through the cracks."
It sounds like a good lead. "I'm gonna go check up on Plo to see if he found anything. Thank you so much, Master."
"Of course."
I take a small 'detour', (If you call leaving the library for the medbay to see how Ahsoka's doing, then back and into the holo chamber a detour), before talking to Plo. I stare out of the giant window the room has to see dark skies and neon club signs behind the rows of traffic. I check my churro, 2289. Nearly midnight.
He's reading at least double what I did, and his slumped shoulders and occational sigh tells me how tired he is.
"Skywalker."
"Any luck?"
He shakes his head, rubbing his temples. "Nothing."
"Obi-Wan and I think that he found where we can find the crystals."
"Where?"
"Thustra. It's impossible that the Sith could have taken all of them there."
Plo nods. "I'll see if I can find anything."
"You can take a break?"
"No thanks, I'm good."
I was going to take one, but resting while these two stay up all night to help my best friend/padawan seems like a dick move. Plus, I want to help Ahsoka.
I retreat back to my master, and together we try to find more on The Healing Crystals Of Fire.
