How long had it been... three days... four days... heck, maybe it had been a week, she didn't know, but either way that didn't change the fact that she was lost. And no,not that, " can't find your mom in the grocery store kind of lost", uh uh she was "LOST" lost. All she could remember is that one moment she was walking down the street with her baby sister Maria, and the next moment, BAM! she's in the middle of only god knows where!

You know, it was times like these when she just could'nt figure out how she got herself into these kinds of situation. I mean, yeah, first there was the time she stole her "wicked" stepmother's brand new cherry red mustang and took for a little trip around town. But hey, she was only twelve. How was she supposed to know that going 75 in a 25mph zone was a "no-no", or that slamming on the brakes... accidentally causing a police car to swerve and crash into a STOP sign, would wind her tail down at the police station with a very,not-so-happy looking "parental unit" to answer too. And of course ,there was the time she locked her government teacher in a storage closet for half the day... okay, so maybe that time she knew what she was getting herself into, but the three week suspension was really uncalled for. But this- naw, she had no answer for this. Heck, she could'nt even remember any of the events leading up to this. Which-let me tell you- is very uncommon, because if she is gonna get in trouble, she wants to know exactly how things went down. So that next time she'd be ready.

Not this time though...

Defintely not this time. So again she found herself asking, " How long had it been?"

How long had it been since everything went dark?

How long had it been since she woke up in this " Blair Witch Project" looking place?

How long had it been since she decided that staying in one place sure as heck wasn't going to get her rescued?

How long had it been since she started following this steady, calm stream?

And how long would it take till this stupid, eerily-pleasant stream to wind up near a friggin' road!

All these questions and then some, she had no answer for. It could have been a day, two days, a week... honestly, she just didn't know. She had no idea how she had been able to make it as long she had. She did'nt know how she was able to stay as cool, calm and collected as she had been. And she REALLY did'nt know how she could have made it this long without watching a single episode of "Raising Hope" ! Oddly, however, no of it seemed to matter... the food... the water... the sanity... the increasing number of unwatched t.v. episodes bombarding her DVR... none of them seem to have affected her.

Now, by this point in time, I'm sure most of you are sitting there thinking, "WHAAAAAT", and trust me, that very same thought had indeed crossed her mind. But like I said, at this point she had absolutely no answer, for absolutely any of things that she was experiencing. Surprisingly though, the conclusion that she settled with was that she had lost it... gone completly bonkers! Yep thats right, she had fallen off her rocker! It was either that, or well...

Well, let's just say she did'nt want to think about the other option. Nope, she was perfectly content with just believing that her mind had finally left her leaving her here to wonder, "How in the world did I get into this mess? And why could'nt I have left myself somewhere awesome... like the mall, or Six Flags... or you know what, right now waking up on nice, warm Jamaican beach with a hot guy serving me strawberry daiquiris- Now that- would be a real nice little treat! But noooo, I just had to place myself in PRIME hillbillly hunting grounds! "

At least thats what she started telling herself-until she heard the music...
