Harry sat looking out of the musty window. The shining lake glistened in the morning sun. The trees swayed in the wind. He saw the eagles flying over the lake. Once in a while, they would dive down to the water. One bird dove down to find a merperson. It jumped up and ate it. Harry looked at the creature and laughed. He remembered back in his fourth year when he was in the Triwizard Tournament and had to dive down. The merpeople were so smart and they had built a whole city underwater.
The knock on the door startled him. Ron walked in and smiled at Harry.
"Hi Harry!"
Ron's red hair was longer and it hung in front of his face. He waved his wand and his baggage disappeared behind him.
"Fred taught me that over the summer. How are you, mate?"
"Good. I'm so excited to have this last year at school. This year is going to be great." The rest of the boys came in and did the same spell as Ron.
"Did Fred teach that to all of you guys? How do I not know that?"
The boys laughed and taught Harry the spell all afternoon. Harry packed up his clothes in his pack. He tried the spell and his baggage disappeared. He checked in his trunk and it was empty. He couldn't find it!
Harry raised his wand. "Accio baggage!"
He waited. He looked throughout the room. Suddenly, his baggage crashed through the window. He grabbed his wand again. He pointed it at the window.
"Reparo!"
The pieces of glass floated into the air and fixed themselves into the window. The boys sat in the room talking about their summers.
Harry and Ron walked downstairs and entered the Common Room. Just then, Hermione entered. She shrieked at the sight of the two boys. The same spell was use and Harry and Ron looked at each other. They started to laugh. Hermione ran towards them and hugged them both. She pecked them on the cheek. They went down to dinner and talked the whole time.
The sorting started. One handsome boy walked up to the Sorting Hat and sat down. Immediately, the hat yelled, "Gryffindor!"
The boys and Hermione became friends with this first year. His name was Conrad. But, he had a secret that no one else knew.
The next day, Harry and Ron introduced Conrad to all of the teachers. They taught him spells that weren't taught in classes. Conrad became their friend slowly. In a month, the trio hung out only with Conrad. The next week they hadn't seen him. The trio looked everywhere.
Harry walked back from Potions only to find a light streaming from a door. The noises coming from the room where muffled. He looked in only to find a boy sitting with his back towards Harry. A familiar voice rumbled throughout the room. The boy shook his head. It sounded as if the boy was screaming. The white face emerged from behind the wall. Snake-like eyes shot right at the door. Harry ducked immediately. As he ducked, he scrambled away.
The next day, Conrad never showed up at breakfast!
