Future Finchel Fic. Rachel comes home from New York and realizes a lot has changed.
Rachel Berry walked into her old home. She was 24 now. "Dad? Daddy?" She looked around and couldn't find her fathers. She sighed and dropped her bags on the ground. Everything looked the same. The couches, the paintings, all of her awards, pictures of her, pictures of her old boyfriend and a small blonde. Wait, what?
Rachel heard voices. A little girl and a man. They were laughing. The sound came from her old room. She walked to her room and opened the door. She saw Finn Hudson in her room playing with a blonde little girl.
Finn looked up. "Rachel? Rachel! Hey! Your dads are on vacation. I'm house sitting. You look beautiful."
Rachel looked at the little girl. Finn looked at her, too. "This is Bella. She's my daughter." When Rachel quizzically raised an eyebrow, he said, "Well, not mine. Quinn and Sam had her freshman year of college and they didn't think they could take care of her. So I offered to take her. Her sixth birthday is next week."
'Six? That means it's been six years since I've been home. Finn's 24 and has a daughter? That's crazy.'
"Anyways, how are you?" Finn smiled.
"I'm fine," Rachel smiled. "New York's been awesome. I've been in a few shows. Wicked was my favorite."
Finn grinned. "I saw that one. Took Bella to see it."
Bella looked up at Rachel. "ELPHABA!"
Rachel grinned. "That's me!"
Bella started to sing 'For Good.' Rachel was surprised. Bella knew all the lyrics and was an amazing singer. But of course, she was Sam and Quinn's daughter. And Finn is her father. It made sense.
Rachel smiled, walked to Finn, and hugged him. "So much has changed. But not how I feel about you. I've missed you so much."
Finn hugged her. "I missed you too. I love you, Rachel. Welcome home."
