"Nymphadora, come along," Narcissa called to her niece who was lagging behind at Diagon Alley. Draco was trotting along even further behind than Tonks was, yet he wasn't being told off.
"It's TONKS!" she shouted, but she caught up anyway because her mum had told her to do as she was told that day, as Narcissa had offered to take her to Diagon Alley so that her parents had a day to themselves for a change.
"Your name is Nymphadora and I would appreciate it if you would answer to it," Narcissa snapped at the girl. "Now, Madam Malkins for your school robes," she told her. There was no suggestion that she had any say in the matter; she was going to be getting her robes now and that was that. Narcissa held the door for her niece, waiting for Draco to catch up, and then she ushered them both over to get measured. "Draco needs a new suit. Stand still while the gentleman measures you. And Nymphadora here needs her school robes," Narcissa informed the workers, an impatient glare being given to them instantly.
"I know my size!" Tonks protested, yet before she had any chance to have a real say in what happened, tape measures were flying around her and Draco and a quick quotes quill was scrawling their sizes down. Clothing began to fly off the racks into piles and soon enough, everything they needed was there in their individal piles. Narcissa had already handed over the money and was heading out of the shop with Draco, leaving Tonks to carry everything. "Wait up!" she called, stumbling through the door and hurrying after the others.
By the time they had been to every shop they needed to go in, Tonks was struggling to walk under all the bags she was carrying, yet she didn't even know what was in most of them because Narcissa had just bought what she thought she would need at school. Tonks knew already she would have to write home to get more things straight after she got there. She wished she could've gone with someone that would actually listen. Someone like the Weasleys. Their parents were friends, at least. But no, she had to go with her annoying aunt instead.
"You're staying with me tonight as well," Narcissa told Tonks, grabbing her arm, and Draco's hand, and apparating them back home to Malfoy Manor. Tonks didn't even have a chance to argue with that.
