I'm in Love….
Raivis stood near the back of the large cast iron fence that surround Russia's property. Violet eyes looked up into worried police blue eyes; a gentle dark leather gloved hand cupping the Latvian's cheek was welcomed in comparison to the rougher hand whose ghostly touches were already fading in the presence of the other male.
"Latvia… I'm sorry, you have to wait a little longer..." Alfred whispered miserably gently rubbing the freezing cheek. "You should go back inside..You're sick.." The American pointed out watching the smaller male shake.
Raivis shook his curly blond locks. "I-I can't Alfred..." His head rested on the ice coated bars. "I-I'm losing myself America…I..T-Toris.. he.." Tears rushed to the surface as that night of his brother's beatings filtered into his vision. Those soft leather hands returned; a frantic voice penetrated his chaotic brain.
"Raivis!" His name was cried with real concern made his mind jerk to a stop. He looked into that vexed face, he wanted to see that confidante smile again; that beacon of light that offered hope to his people. "I know it hurts.. But please hang on, speak in your language, cook your dishes, celebrate your festivals, do anything that will keep you in contact with your people, your culture… Don't let Russia rob you of it." Alfred pleaded taking Raivis' freezing hands. Alfred kissed the icy tips of Raivis' fingers. "Don't let him get to you." He whispered to Latvia whose head simply continued to rest against the bars, mind befuddled as to what was taking place, but his heart soared at the feel of those warm lips against his frozen fingers.
"A-America.." Raivis whispered shocked; he watched Alfred slide off of his gloves, taking a frozen hand Alfred began to slide it onto the smaller hand. "N-no you're hands!" Raivis said removing the glove; he pressed it against the bomber jacket that Alfred wore. "They'll g-get c-cold..."
The sounds of the snow crunching made Raivis' shaking erupt beyond a simple chill "Go," he whispered to Alfred frantically "Russia will see you if you don't…Please go..." He pleaded to Alfred, who reluctantly disappeared into the snowy terrain. Raivis shook as a rough hand pressed itself down harshly on his head.
"Raivis what are you doing out here, da?" The Russian said softly his hands moving to cup Raivis' freezing ones.
"Nothing Russia.." He looked down while Ivan escorted him back to the equally cold house. His violet eyes looked past the gate to see a man standing there; his silhouette against the brilliant moon was the embodiment of what Latvia and his brothers longed for.
"You'll get sicker if you stay out here Latvia." Ivan said smiling at the tiny shaking boy.
Latvia nodded his head not hearing the Russian, 'I-I'm in love…With a fairytale.' Latvia thought, wanting to laugh at the cheesy romantic line.
