The Mirror

Alone, alone,
just the mirror and me.
Alone, alone,
just what I see and me.
Alone, alone,
though I can hear voices from afar,
I cannot break the stare
of the boy I see there.
The voices surround, but I can't let them in.
the only voice near, is hers at the door,
I want it to open, I know there's a crack,
in the door to myself, which is under attack.
I try and try, but the door will not budge,
it's him in the mirror, he's holding a grudge.
The voice echoes off, still trying to help.
And I'm left alone, just him and me,
with a coy little smile, he turns the glass black.
I'm left there alone, alone in the dark.
