"Mr...um, Roxas," said the secretary, Xion. "Ax – he is here. Would you like be to send him up?"

Her asking this was practically rhetorical. We both knew the answer. "Yes please," I answered, through the phone. Technology was so useful. After hanging up, I played with my name card in my hands, turning it and looking from different angles.

Roxas Lior

Head of Technology department

(113)-425-8013

The main, or only, reason that I was department head was that my dad had been, before... When I visited his workplace most recently, over a year ago, had been the time that I first saw Axel – the new worker, at that time. He was just out of college, while I was still in it.

Now we're both graduated – and secretly dating.

I looked up when the door opened. My heart, of course, refused to stop pounding once I saw him.

"Hey, Roxas," Axel spoke in a casual manner, closing my office door behind him. He walked closer and leaned forward, elbows on my desk and head resting in his hands. "How's life?"

"I-it's good..." I replied. It was so strange that I was 'in charge' of so many people who were older than me.

"Mhmm?" Axel's eyes gazed into mine, and a blush made its way to my face involuntarily. "We still a secret?"

I nodded. "I told you, only Xion knows..."

"The secretary, huh?" Axel straightened up and crossed his arms, giving some kind of devilish smile at me. He was always like this... "You sure we can trust her?"

"Axel!" I scolded. A bit louder than I meant to, so I lowered my voice. "Yes. You know that. She sees everyone who checks in – if it weren't for her, you'd be going straight to your office every day."

"I know, I know," Axel smiled. A bit more normally. "Just teasing. You should come over here...it's lonely on this side of the desk."

I sighed and did something that teenagers seemed to consider a 'facepalm.' "Fine..." I grumbled as I stood up. It wasn't that I didn't like the idea...but...

As soon as I got around the desk, Axel wrapped his arms around me.

"H-hey!" I attempted to push him away, but of course he was stronger.

"Shush," Axel kissed the top of my head. "You're so shy, Roxas."

"No I'm not," I denied, though my voice was muffled because my face was pressed into his shoulder.

"Yeessss you are," Axel chuckled. "I love you, Roxas."

"No you don't..." What was I saying?

"Suddenly, Axel bent down so that we were face to face. "Really?" A smirk appeared across his face. He seemed amused.

I just blinked and stared back at him. At his eyes. So green, so pretty...

"I love you, Roxas," Axel repeated. And then he kissed me. I almost protested, but instead I gave into my own desire and kissed him back.

It didn't last long. Of course it didn't. Couldn't. The phone rang.

Axel pulled away and straightened up. He patted me on the head. "Go get the phone, Roxas," Axel grinned.

It was annoying when Axel treated me like a child. I sighed and turned around, leaning over my desk to get the phone.

"Yes?" I asked.

"What are you doing in there?" I called twice," I heard Xion laughing slightly. "You have to review the job interview recordings and notes, today... I forgot to remind you. Two hours."

Two whole hours? "You seem lenient, today."

"No, but he's really sweet to you." I could imagine Xion smiling at this...but how did she know?

"What planet have you been on?" I shook my head. "Two hours. Got it."

After I hung up, I felt Axel's arms around me, again. "She gave us two hours," I told him.

"I heard," Axel said, putting his chin on top of my head.

"She thinks you're sweet to me."

"I am," Axel chuckled, again. "I love you, Roxas." The third time.

"I love you, too."
