Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight, Stephanie Meyer does.
Alice sat at the little diner in Philadelphia, just staring at the chocolate shake before her. Honestly, she didn't exactly know why she had ordered it. Maybe it was because she wanted to look human or maybe it was because she wanted to feel human.
She knew that would never happen. Alice was a vampire after all. A vampire with the special ability to see the future and no memory of her human life. She had woke up alone, the earliest memory she had was when she woke up and had a vision of a soldier, a vampire for that matter, showing up at this very restaurant and a coven of vampires with strange golden eyes and a vegetarian diet. The soldier however was her first vision. His name was Jasper Whitlock, he had honey blond hair and scars covering his body. He was the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen.
Of course that was 30 years ago.
She came here everyday hoping that he would show up. Suddenly it started raining just like in her vision. That's a good sign she thought, but she knew not to get her hopes up, it rains often. Almost as if on cue to to make her doubts disappear, a man came in with honey blond hair and scars all over his visible skin. Alice got out of her seat and skipped over to him.
He looked at her warily but that soon faded. She knew of his ability, he could feel and manipulate emotions. He felt only happiness coming off of her.
"You've kept me waiting a long time." She said teasingly.
Like any good southern gentleman would, he bowed his head and said "My apologies ma'am."
She held out her hand and he took it before he could make sense of what he was doing because for the first time in a century he felt hope.
