Title: The Forever Doctor
Character: The Doctor
Fandom: Doctor Who
Word Count: 170
Genre: Angst/General
Summary: Forever is a long time to live when you don't die. No mentions of the immortal Jack. The Doctor will never die, because then I'd be extremely upset.
Disclaimer: Disclaimer: I unfortunately do not own the Doctor. He belong to Steven Moffat & BBC. I just enjoy playing around with him.
Forever. It's such a small word, but it means so much. 'I want to live forever.' 'I'll love you forever.' 'I want to be with you forever.' Everyone is always saying it, but they don't understand the full force of it. No one understands what it's actually like to live forever, to exist forever.
No one that is except for one man, known as the Doctor. The last of the Time Lords, destined to watch everything change. To watch as civilizations end and planets cease to exist. It hasn't all been bad, though. The Doctor has been able to witness the creation of new species and the beginning of new worlds.
He's traveled to different worlds, different time periods. He's witnessed wars, bouts of peace and the end of time. Yet while everything else ended, he kept on existing forever. He's seen and done so much, mostly alone. Of course he picks up a companion every now and then, but in the end, he's alone. Forever, is he destined to be alone.
