Gohan chewed on the eraser of his pencil as he thought about what his professor had assigned his class that morning. Their homework was really simple, as it was only the beginning of the school year, but Gohan wanted his to be perfect.

His professor had asked the class to make up a quote that came from the heart, and also said something meaningful to the people who would be at the audience part of it. It had to be catchy, and couldn't be stupid. Though, as the professor had said, "There are no stupid quotes."

Gohan thought about what was most important to him, and he knew that helping people was one of them. Not so much of fighting crime than making people feel better about themselves. As a person himself, he really didn't like the feeling of being alone, and wouldn't wish it upon anyone else. He wouldn't even wish it upon his greatest enemies. He didn't understand the feeling of being worthless, although he had felt it many a time before.

All those times his father had vanished.

The thought flew through his mind, and it were as if he was in those horrible times again. Gohan grimaced, a broken feeling enveloping his chest and stomach. It were as if a black hole were inside of him, trying to consume him. It hurt

Shaking off the feeling, he popped the pencil out of his mouth, a light bulb flashing. He knew just what he could write. It was going to be good. As soon as the pencil touched the paper, the writing flowed out.

Gohan raised his hand as the teacher asked for anyone to volunteer to read theirs first.

"Yes, Gohan, you can be first." The blonde professor called out, pushing up her glasses with intrigue.

"Yes," Gohan said, shooting up and standing as straight as a pin, as if he were in the army, and was being interrogated, "okay."

The class turned to him, some looking genuinely curious, and some just not hiding that they were really bored, and couldn't care any less.

Gohan cleared his throat and began, "Don't you ever think that you are worthless, because that's not true." Pause, a quick glance around the room before continuing. "You aren't worthless. You are worth it." He finished, holding his breath. He didn't dare to check this time, but his head shot up as soon as a round of applause rung out. Gohan grinned as he sat back down.
