One in 7,600,000,000
In a world with 7.6 billion people, he felt all alone.
He loved the silence in his bunker, and the comfort that came along with it. It made him feel like he was in space – safe from busy earthlings, from unwanted attention, from overwhelming emotions. Sometimes the unnatural stillness would make him a little sad, but that tinge of uneasiness could always easily be fixed with a good dose of Honey Buddha Chips and PhD Pepper.
In a world with 7.6 billion people, there were only a handful whom he had learnt to cherish.
These were the people who had walked him out of darkness, who gave him a reason to be alive, who considered him their friend even though they knew close to nothing about him. And because he held them so, so dear, he would be more than willing to disappear from their lives in order to protect them.
And one, just one, out of these few bonds so tenderly cared for, was a bond he treasured above all.
She had sneaked into his heart the exact same way she had waltzed into his life – seemingly easily and unexpectedly, messing him up as she claimed for her own a tiny corner of his thoughts; by the time he realized she was there, it was already too late. She had cozied up, and refused to budge an inch.
In a world with 7.6 billion people, she was the only one who could make his silly little heart throb inconsistently; in a world with 7.6 billion people, she was the only one capable of making him fumble and trip over the emotions he thought he had sealed away.
In this world with 7.6 billion people, she found him and loved him unconditionally, and he could do nothing too, but to love her with everything he had.
I'm back with some mushy stuff for Mystic Messenger this time! It's been a long time since I wrote anything, but I was just so overwhelmed with Ray's route that I just had to write something for Seven. This will probably span about five chapters because I cannot be trusted to write anything consistently for any longer than that, and I am aiming to finish this within February, so it'll look like a Valentines' thing specially for Seven, haha!
Hope you guys enjoyed that sappy little thing, and stick around for more if you like!
