Toph sat and breathed in the night air. It was cold and brisk, but it felt so wonderful in her lungs. She heard footsteps approach behind her. She could feel his vibrations through her fingertips; she knew it was Sokka.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked. "They're about to cut the cake."

Toph shrugged.

"Shouldn't iyou/i be inside? It's iyour/i sister's wedding, after all."

Sokka walked over and wrapped his arms around Toph's waist.

"It's no fun without my date," he murnured in her ear. She leaned against him, still facing the world beyond the balcony. She closed her unseeing eyes and breathed him in for a moment. He rested his chin on her head; she was still a bit shorter than he was. For a moment they rested against each other in simple bliss.

Sokka lifted his head for a moment and studdied the beautiful way the faint light of the moon caressed Toph's skin.

"What is it?" Toph asked, her hand raising to her hair- which was long and left down, for once- self-conciously.

"Nothing," Sokka said before pulling her close to him once more and kissing the top of her head softly. He glanced up at the moon. Yue, it seemed, was smiling down on them. Just for them.

Sokka still thought to himself sometimes about his first love, and he knew in his heart she would have wanted him to move on. It seemed that Yue hadn't shown down as brightly and beautifully on any other girl than the one he now held in his arms. Yue was glad, it seemed, that Sokka had found Toph's love... It seemed they'd always been perfect for each other. Sokka thought to himself sometimes that he had been the blind one for so many years prior... Now he held this beautiful girl in his arms, and couldn't bare to think of it any other way; this was perfect.

He kissed her earlobe gently, then whispered, "Come on, let's get back. I'll bet they're starting to wonder where we've been..."
