Hello Little Malteasers.

Due to recent exciting events, I have been inspired to write a little one-shot about what must have been a great day for Dan. Can be Phan-love or Phan-friends, the decision is yours.

"Reblog." I mumbled to myself.

It had been a rather boring day, nothing especially exciting or fun had happened, and even Tumblr was starting to bore me. I think I might be a bit sick. Phil was holed up in his room, filming something for a video. I haven't completely planned or written my next video, it's been pushed to the back of the to-do section of my mind. I convinced myself to get off the couch, and dawdled my way to the kitchen. I made myself a cup of tea, and grabbed a packet of Maltesers before making my way back to my room. I positioned myself comfortably, setting my computer on my lap. I reached for my phone to check if I had any messages. There were a few boring emails I would read later and some updates for the various apps that decorate my home screen. One in particular, however , stood out, among the rest of the boring and mundane things present on my lock screen.

Twitter:

Gerard Way is now following you!"

I was barely aware if what was happening. I could feel myself start shaking, and I think I may have squealed, because I heard Phil's feet as they thudded along the floor, the creak of the door as it swung open, his voice as he yelled my name, grabbing onto me as if I was mad. I finally came to my senses. I could feel Phil's firm hands on my shoulder as he shook me and I started to think properly again.

"DAN!"

"What? Oh, sorry Phil."

"What happened? Why did you scream?"

"I didn't mean to, I just got a bit of a shock, that's all. I'm fine, really."

"What shocked you that much? It must have been pretty big…"

"I'd tell you, but I probably wouldn't be able to speak coherent words. So, just take a peek at this."

I showed him my phone, and I knew he read what I was happy and shocked about by the gasp that escaped his lips.

"The real, actual, father of Bandit and ex-member of MCR, Gerard?!"

"Yeah. It's pretty crazy, isn't it?"

"Dan, this is fantastic! Congrats, that is seriously just awesome!"

"I know. I can practically hear my 14-year old self crying with excitement."

"This is really something you don't ever forget. If Matt Bellamy or Sarah Michelle Gellar were following me on twitter, I would probably faint."

"Do they even have twitter accounts?"

"Yes, Daniel. Actually they do."

"Of course you would know that."

"Stalker, much Phil?"

"Hey!" Phil slapped my lightly on the shoulder.

"I'm sorry. That would be great."

"Thank you. Hey, I'm going to make a cuppa. Do you want one?"

"Yes, please!"

"Would you like me to bring it to you on a silver plate, too?"

"That would be lovely."

"Sassy, sarcastic, lazy bastard." He mumbled, a smile playing on his lips as he walked away.

"Yep. I think you missed dashingly handsome though."

I heard him laugh, the noise echoing down the hallway and off the walls, carrying along through soundwaves in the air, from his mouth to my ear.

I picked up my phone, and sent Gerard a tweet, and when he replied, I felt a certain fan girl-like glee, one I had never experienced before. It was nice, I think I understand why people get so excited and squeal. It's hard not to.

I hope you liked that. I tried to make it really good, and like an author would. (Like John Green maybe…)

I realise the events in this may not have happened, and Dan might have tweeted Gerard before Gerard followed him, but I like the way this happened, so I'm going to keep it this way.
