Keeping Warm.
Prompt: Frost.
Character: Lysander
Summary: It's winter and Lucy gets caught in the cold without a jacket. Can Lysander help?

Disclaimer; I don't own MCL or any of the characters, as much as I would like to. I do however, own Lucy and the plot to this one-shot.

Lucy's POV.

I shivered as I stood in line outside in the courtyard, rubbing my arms in a feeble attempt to keep warm. Of all days to have a fire practice, it had to be today didn't it? And what's better, I left my jacket inside because I panicked to get outside. I was beside myself with annoyance, glaring at the ice that covered the grass beneath everyone's feet.

"Cold?" Lysander asked from behind me, his warm breath tickling my ear.

"A bit" I replied, not turning round to face him because my face was burning and I was probably as red as a tomato. I'd known Lysander for a fairly long while now, and he'd been my first friend when I'd arrived here at Sweet Amoris. He was tall and gracious, with silver coloured hair and black lowlights dyed into it. His skin was flawless and pale and his eyes were gorgeous, the left one a forest green colour and the right a caramel gold. He dressed unusually, taking an interest in Victorian style clothing, but that just added to his charm. Lysander was extremely handsome and kind, and I liked him for so many more reasons.

I heard Lysander chuckle quietly and blushed deeper. Even his laugh was handsome.

"Turn around, Lucy" He told me. I hesitated, wondering if my face was still red before turning to face him slowly. Immediately I was enveloped into a hug as Lysander wrapped his warm coat around us both.

My face erupted with heat and I buried it against his chest and he pulled the coat around us tighter. I breathed in his scent; the smell of books and freshly cut grass, a perfect combination.

"Thanks, Lys" I mumbled against his chest, feeling warmer already, whether it was thanks to the coat or the fact I was pressed against my crush, I didn't know. Well, it was the coat for obvious reasons, but it was the hug that was keeping my insides warm. I closed my eyes as we stood there, forgetting all about the fire practice until my teacher barked my name as he called the register.

I jumped and turned around, pulling out of the hug, begrudgingly of course, replying with a startled 'Here'.

I heard a snicker and turned around to see Lysander laughing at me. I frowned at him, my quivering lip giving away the fact that I wasn't really angry at him. He smiled and held his arms out to me and I grinned, wrapping my arms around his waist as he once again wrapped the fabric around us. I smiled widely, completely forgetting about the frost that surrounded us.
