REVIEW please please please!!

Harry sat feeling empty. He felt without purpose. He had succeeded in his task. A task that he had never chosen, a task that he had been given as one year old baby, the day his parents had died. He had defeated Voldemort. Voldemort was dead and Harry was a hero. But now he had nothing, nothing to hold on to, nothing to keep going for. He'd never thought he'd get this far. Be looking at the war from this end, be looking at it from the end. He'd made no plans for what would happen after it was all over. He'd dreamed. He had spent every night dreaming of Ginny, dreaming of their life they could have had if he hadn't been given this task. If he could have just been himself, but he'd never thought he could have had both; defeated Voldemort and had a life with Ginny. He didn't even know if Ginny would want him. What if she hated him? What if she couldn't forgive him for leaving her? Silent tears streamed down his face as he thought of the rejection he would receive when she told him that she no longer wanted him. How she hated him. How she didn't love him.

He felt someone sit down next to him. He saw a swish of red, and smelt a familiar sweet sent that forced the dormant beast in his chest to raise its head in anticipation. Here it came; the rejection. He forced himself to look up, to look at her. Their eyes met vivid green and warm brown; they locked and just sat staring for what seemed like a life time.

"Ginny…" Harry began

"Shh…" Ginny ordered as she placed cool finger against his lips. He stared at her as her arms encircled his waist. The clutched each other, all forgiveness and love being poured into that one embrace.

"I love you" Harry said, kissing the top of her head, breathing in her scent

"I love you too Harry, with all my heart" she told him, lifting her head to look into his eyes. He bent his head to meet hers and they kissed, passionately.

They sat together, holding each other, comforting each other crying for the dead, for Fred, Remus, Tonks, Mad-eye Moody and all who had lost their lives in the battle, in the war; Harry's parents, Sirius and Dobby.

After a while two others joined their vigil, Ron sat, his back to a tree, his legs apart, Hermione placed herself between them leaning into his embrace. She had been crying; her eyes were puffy; her cheeks blotchy, her eyes glistened as she stared at the sunrise. Ron sat a hardened look in his eyes. Anger blazed in his blue eyes, he had yet to come to terms with his loss. He was still livid with the loss of his elder brother. The quartet sat in reflective silence each leaving the others to their own thoughts, to deal with their grief in their own way.

To the east the sun rose casting a bright light over them, starting a new day. A new beginning.

That's it. I think we may leave it as a one-shot, I'm not sure. What do you think? Please review and let us know. I know it's not brilliant but I needed to get it out of my system… it was annoying me.
