Author Note: Really Short Prologue. I will work on this story in time. I can't remember how many times I've watched this movie and got inspired to write a story. Anyway, I hope you enjoy what I've written so far.

He strode about the room, contemplating the series of events that had happened just weeks prior. Why the hell did she have to remember the ending of that damned book? The thoughts that were going through his mind were cut short as two goblins pushed their way through the large doorway. Jareth came to a halt.

"What is it?" Jareth spoke out angrily. He took a deep breath. He had to consistently remind himself of the conclusion he came to just days earlier. Maybe Sarah hadn't been the one he'd hoped for to end his life of loneliness. He had lost count of reading the book, entitled 'The Labyrinth'. Though, it was only after Sarah left with Toby that he had even read the book. Every detail in the book had replayed over and over in his mind like a broken record. The events that had occurred just weeks ago had happened in the book. Though, Jareth was not particularly happy about that. "Well?"

"Sorry, my lord. But it seems we've been called upon." The shorter of the two goblins spoke almost nonchalantly. They had been called upon? Was it Sarah? The thought of seeing Sarah again had made him sit down in disbelief. As much as he wanted to see her again, he didn't think he could handle seeing the young woman without jumping her. Hell, he didn't know how he had even been in her presence just weeks before without the thought. She had been the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on, that is, throughout his years of taking those who were wished away, only to be taken by goblins. You'd think that there wouldn't be very many to be taken, but you're mistaken. There had been quite a few people in his lifetime. Though, he hadn't met anyone who had gotten through his labyrinth with the determination Sarah had.

Sarah. His underlings had stated that he had just been blinded by the young brunette's beauty and had just mistaken it for love. "Who's calling?" The King of Goblins grew impatient.
