Seto's desperation

Disclaimer: Do not own Yu-Gi-oh or Seto Kaiba or Joey Wheeler for that matter. Only the plot.

Summary: The usual Seto's pinning for Joey story, dunno if this should be a one-shot. Exaggerated sappyness/angst/pinning. I'm not a fan of this pairing, just making fun of it.

Late at night, the businessman stares at his big empty bed... How he wished someone was there to sleep with him every night, keeping him from being lonely. Alas, he thinks, it's impossible since the one he wants on his bed hates his guts and seem to be interested only in girls like Mai Valentine. He hated her... he took his Joey away from him, while he was with her; he didn't stand a chance...

Of course, he dreamed of doing the blonde night after night... but he knew he could never get as close as a hug, let alone a kiss. Joey would never touch him, would never want him the way he wants him. A single tear fell down from his eyes. Seto Kaiba never cries, unless he's been hurt emotionally. The only two people he had feelings for were Mokuba and Joey, the honey-haired teen who captured his heart. Of course, it was love at first sight. But as usual, he treated him coldly and that was his mistake. How could he have treated his special person more gently if no one showed him love and if no one taught him how? He tried to delude himself into thinking he hated Joey too, but it didn't work. He always thought of his qualities rather than his bad points, which didn't help. Like how he always helped out Mokuba even if he treated him horribly. Joey was good at fighting, so he and his gang actually stopped his younger brother's kidnapping once. Just thinking about this incident made his heart hurt. He could have seized the opportunity and told him how thankful he was for saving his brother, but instead of doing this, he insulted him, like he usually does and they got into a fight.

That fight of theirs made him especially depressed, because Joey shouted that he hated him. He always said he was annoying, called him moneybags and other names, but this time he was being serious. He always felt sad when Joey called him names or insulted him, but never did Joey proclaim with such a passion that he hated him. He felt his world crumble. He wanted to apologise, to tell he's sorry he acted the way he did, but no words came out...

Mokuba knew about his secret crush on him. And he knew that his little brother wanted nothing more than to get his big brother with his love. But that was impossible.
