Clove's POV

He chases me around the park, which makes me laugh. Cato has always been my best friend, he is like my big brother. Suddenly I'm lifted off the ground, and I start to scream, only to find Cato cracking up behind me.

"What the hell!" I yell, half fuming, half laughing.

"You know if your not going to be nice, then I see no point in letting you down anytime soon." I groan, and spastically kick my legs, making us both laugh even harder.

"Fine, I'm sorry, now put me down." I say while pouting. He does what I say, and slap his shoulder.

"Ow what what thay for?" He asks confused.

"For threatening me," I tell him with a large grin on my face, and without warning I take off yet again, giving Cato no choice but to follow. I see him roll his brown eyes and I smile inside. My thoughts inturupt my actions, and I end up tripping over a rock. I'm fine, but Cato sprint over in less than a second.

"Clove, are you okay?" He seems worried, I nod my head and wave my finger signaling for him to come closer. When his lips are only a few inches away from mine, I grab onto his sholders and tackle him to the ground. I smile, I always predicted that Cato has a crush in me, so I realize that maybe what I did was a little mean, but taunting Cato has been my favorite game for forever. He glares at me quite pissed, so I lean in once again and plant a soft kiss on his lips. I see his eyes start glowing, and I am pretty sure I blushed. Then everything feels as though it's moving at warp speed. At the exact same time we both lean in, and kiss each other passionatly. Feeling his lips on mine feels amazing. This kiss grows deeper, until we both run out of breath and have to pull apart. I stare into his chocolate brown eyes, and instantly know that I'm in love with him.

2 years later, they are both 19. Still Clove's POV

I wake up to the sound of someone pounding on my door. I throw a pillow to shut the person up for a few seconds, and throw on my green bath robe.

"You can come in," I tell the person standing in the hallway. Cato walks through the door, and a smile magically appears in my face. I run over to kiss him, but he holds me back,

"Cato what's wrong?" He shakes his head, but I get an answer the question after a few minutes of pouting.

"They are relocating me to district 7." His face, as well as mine drops instantly.

"But they can't make you leave, Cato you have to stay." He just shrugs,

"I think I'm going to go. You are the only thing left here that I don't hate, which is why I want you to come with me." My eyes widen, half with excitment the other half from fear.

"I don't know if I'm ready to leave though, I've never even left the district before." Cato doesn't look surprised, instead he seems angry.

"Is it that your not ready to leave, or are you just not ready to be with me." I don't answer at first, because truthfully I don't if I'm ready to travel the world with Cato, or even live with him.

"Please don't go Cato," I whisper, not sure of what else to say. He shakes his head,

"I'll stay if you prove to me why I should."

"Cato your scaring me." I tell him, not quite sure how he wants me to prove it to him.

"3 words, it's not that difficult." He wants me to tell him I love him, I do love him, but I can't get the words out.

"I... I.." He just frowns,

"That's what I thought. Goodbye Clove."

"Cato wait," I scream. "I love you," but it's too late. I watch as the boy I love disappears from my life for forever.
