Rose neatly tied a bow with the bandage as she scanned her boyfriend for any other post game marks; he'd often got more than just a few due to his rash competitiveness, and so it never hurt to double check.
"Sometimes, I think you just really like finding injuries on me." He beamed up at her, and even though she was pretty sure something in his tone was suggestive, she didn't mind it too much.
"No, it worries me." Rose took a deep breath; honesty was awfully important in any relationship: family, friendship, romance. She'd always be willing to be the support that her boyfriend needs especially since more often than not, he was her support rather than her being his. She could treat every boo-boo he'd get with love and affection to make up for it.
Once she was sure that everything else was a bruise, she pressed forward and kissed his arm, right below his shoulder where the bandage now lay, "A kiss to make it better, alright?" She whispered as if he wasn't aware of her innocent affection and its meanings.
As usual, Kim's face lit up pink, and she had to bite back a helpless giggle, because he looked absolutely adorable like that.
"Yeah, yeah. My mom gave me enough of those." He waved it off as if his face wasn't still red, and Rose couldn't help her carefree smile as she leaned forward to kiss his lips gently, savoring their love that looked weird to some other onlookers, but truly was as beautiful and pure as love should be. Rose had always wanted a love like this, comfortable and sweet somehow met somewhere in the middle, though she'd never imagined having to patch up so many wounds in her life.
"Kim, can't believe you let someone's cleat cut into you like that." Alix called out, teasing her rival or friend, and Rose tried to pay no mind; their friendship made next to no sense to her since they always fought, but she'd rather press closer to her boyfriend and soothe any ache of pride or whatever that could slow him down or stop him.
"Alix, I didn't just let it happen! It was an accident." When his voice rose in somewhat of a growl, Rose ducked, shuddering at the noise in her ears before her boyfriend calmed himself at just realizing how his girlfriend reacted to the sudden loud noise.
"Thank you so much," Kim's voice was so soft and sweet, just a whisper now, as his hand rubbed Rose's back, reminding her of how grateful he was to know her and how grateful he was to have a girlfriend like her.
Rose smiled, loving that in the little moments, her boyfriend's face still flushed pink and that his tenderness though usually pretty well hidden warmed her heart every single time.
Alix scoffed playfully before she turned and left, and Rose wondered if there was going to be another sleepover or friendly meeting between her and the girls later on; Rose was pretty sure that she got along better with Alix than her boyfriend did, but that was not anything that bugged her too much or at all, really.
Rose snuggled against her boyfriend's chest and murmured softly, "Be careful, okay?"
"I will, Rose, I will." He muttered back before he leaned down to kiss her lips, and her heart fluttered at the attention.
