A/N I'm not sure where this came from, or why I wrote it, but I thought it up as I walked to the train station this morning and then wrote it down while I was at the station cafe. I hope you like it, as I'm not usually one for writing poetry and need a bit of practice.

Feel free to choose your Marauder.

Sonnet unto a Marauder

Alas! the days when we were young and free,

our laughter louder than the tears we shed.

You taught my soul to fly, my eyes to see;

you taught me how to live a life worth led.

I cast aside a brother and a friend.

Our soaring wings fell tattered to the ground,

a hurt too deep for even time to mend.

Yet hope remains where love once lost is found!

The ashes of our brotherhood shall rise,

we'll stand again in promises anew.

No more shall we be broken by old lies.

In peace, in death, I'll wait. I'll wait for you.

Our battles fought 'gainst all the hate that reigns,

and all his life, his love is worth our pains.
