Unexpected
Summary: So random, I just got challenged by my buddy to right a story about something so unexpected and funny about my Kenny and I complied. Did I win the bet?
The captains plus one lieutenant of the Gotei 13 were all panting as they fought one on one during the monthly mandatory spars they had. Yachiru, who never left her captain's side, was sitting on a bench with Ukitake whom had to take a breather. Kenpachi was shirtless as he went against Byakuya; his back was facing Yachiru when she noticed something. Between Kenpachi's shoulder blades was a tattoo of a cross with a dying man on it.
Yachiru frowned. "Hey Kenny!" she called.
Kenpachi pulled back. "Break!" he was leading the exercises. "Yeah?"
"What's that on your back?" she asked.
Kenpachi paused before remembering. "Oh that? It's from when I was still alive," he replied.
"What is it?" Yachiru asked curiously.
"A crucifix," Kenpachi said.
Byakuya looked at his in disbelief. "You, a Christian?"
Kenpachi looked at him. "Yeah, when I was alive. Don't pray as much as I use to but I keep up with the scriptures."
"Ohhh! Is that what that book is? The one you read at night before bed?" Yachiru inquired.
Kenpachi nodded. "That's a bible; I read that for my mum's sake."
"Wow Kenny you're so cool!"
Kenpachi chuckled. "Thanks kid," he replied. "Time's up!"
End.
