FMAB ending SPOILERS* I don't own FMA. Very short drabble, enjoy!

Edward Elric longed to do alchemy once again. He wanted to feel the brush of his fingertips on the cold ground and watch the blaze of the transmutation, watch the blue light which would dance along the cloth of his white gloves and cast shadows behind his figure. It was a very satisfying sight to see the earth come up from the ground and shape to his very wish. He could create a spike or a huge fist, a figurine or a memorial. Oh how Edward wished he didn't have to have given his alchemy up, but it was for Alphonse. For his brother.

The joy of seeing Al alive, breathing and eating made up for it tenfold. Edward would watch his little brother laugh and enjoy even the simplest of things like feeling the light tickle of a butterfly on his skin or the smell the delicious aroma of an apple pie baking. Ed was glad his goal was finally fulfilled, but guilt still pulled at him persistently. Al had told him a million times that it wasn't just his fault, that Al had gone along with the forbidden human transmutation as well, but Edward never listened. Being trapped in that armor must have been horrible, not being able to feel anything but your own sorrowful emotions. His brother could never feel the soft fur of the lost neglected kittens he had found but insisted on petting them anyway, being the caring boy he was.

The former Fullmetal Alchemist reflected on these bittersweet thoughts while watching Alphonse sleeping peacefully on the couch. The young boy's skinny chest was rising and falling leisurely and a plush pillow was held loosely in his lean arms.
Ed smiled gratefully to himself. Yes it was all worth it.

FIN

This idea of Ed missing alchemy popped in my head when I was practicing writing and I just kept going. I didn't expect to extend past one paragraph lol. I hope you liked it, I'm a really insecure writer (I draw not write!) so I would love to know what you think!
