Disclaimer: I do not own Lord of the Rings. Professor Tolkein does. I'm just rewriting a part through the eye of a fan and a fantasy writer.

"The Ring I was carrying was definitely the One Ring."
Frodo, of the Shire, a hobbit, why would he get the ring?
One day he inherited the Ring from his Uncle Bilbo and was sent to Rivendale with the company of his friends, Sam Gangee, Meriadoc Buckland (more commonly known as Merry) and Pippin Took.
This is the tale of the group when they went into the Forest on their way to Rivendale.br
"I don't like it in here Merry," Pippin said meekly.
"I know Pippin but it'll be all right; I've been in here a few times, but I say, only a few metres." Replied Merry.
"That'll be a blessing. What of you Sam?" inquired Frodo.
"I don't trust it Mister Frodo, I don't trust it." Said Sam scornfully.
"Neither do I but it's the quickest way without meeting those Black Riders again. The paths are said to move." Said Merry quickly.
They all moved closer into the forest, the trees grew larger and thicker and dense till eventually there was no light.
"Frodo I want to leave!" whined Pippin.
"I'm sorry Pippin, we're too far in here now." Replied Frodo.
Eventually the group came to a clearing near a river.
"Oh no!" cried Merry.
"What's the matter Master Merry?" called Sam.
"We're at the heart of the forest. This is the Rivenwindle, the centre of all the strange misshapenness in the forest."
"Misshapenness'?" asked Pippin timidly.
"The trees are said to move, as you know, no one get's out of the forest." Merry said.
There was a groan from Pippin.
"Let's get off the ponies and walk from here, they're tired." Said Sam wearily.
"There's a path over there let's follow it, it's right next to the river so it won't change, hopefully…" said Frodo anxiously.
"Let's go," said Merry.
The group followed the trail with the ponies sleeking behind them. There was a sinister laugh coming from the trees as they passed them….
