Wendy's stopped herself, keeping her arm held up in the air. Standing in front of Mest's house, she wondered if he was even home. It had been six years since they had met, and her feelings for him had blossomed.

Taking a deep breath, she steeled her courage and knocked on his door. Her keen sense of hearing allowed her to pick up on his footsteps, getting louder and louder with each passing second.

He opened the door, surprised to see her standing outside his doorway.

"Wendy, what are you doing here?"

"I-I've been wanting to tell you something for a while, an-and I decided it was now or never."

A surprised look still on his face, he composed himself and let her in. She followed him into his living room, not bothering to look at the house's interior being that it was her first time there. Upon entering the room, he whipped around to face her.

"So…what did you want to tell me?"

Wendy gulped audibly. "Well…I've felt this way for a while now…but I…re-really like you Mest-san…"

No words came out of his mouth, confirming her fears. Tears starting to pool at the corner of her eyes, she managed to blurt out, "I-I'm sorry! I shouldn't have-I'll leave now."

She turned around and proceeded to head back the way she had come in but was stopped when he grabbed a hold of her hand, spinning her back towards him and planting his lips firmly against hers.

Wendy's eyes widened in surprise but slowly closed as she allowed herself to get lost in the feel of his lips greedily devouring hers. His hand cupped her cheek, angling her head so as to deepen the kiss.

His tongue slipped in between her lips, causing her breath to hitch slightly. Her tongue eagerly met his, doing a chaotic dance with each other. Wendy wrapped her arms his neck, pressing her body closer to his. She could feel his heart pounding loudly against his ribcage. She smiled, excited to realize that she was what was making his heart beat so erratically.

After what felt like hours of their lips exploring each other's, the two of them parted. Each breathed heavily, fighting to get air back into their lungs.

"I've been waiting years for you to say that…"
