"Pull," she said, "Push and pull, my young ones. As you are mine, the sea is also thy brother. Bend, my children, dance!"
And in joy they did as the Moon taught them.
The Sun, hearing the voice of his sister, lifted his head and watched her dance in dismay at the lateness of his sleep. Rising then, he bathed the land and sea in golden fire.
"Rise, my children," he roared, "Rise and rule, my sons and daughters!"
And the children of the Sun awoke as he shook himself in glorious flame over them. Each took also a piece of that flame, claiming for their own the glory of their mighty father.
Then the Earth, feeling the dance of the children of her sister the Moon and the fury of the children of her brother the Sun upon her face, shuddered as she sought the feet of her own children. They stirred then, and marveled at her strength.
"Find the roots, my children," she whispered. "Dig deep and true, seek the bottoms of the mountains and the bed upon which the land lies, for you are as strong as I."
And her children sought her with their hands and feet, surrounding themselves with the armour of her immutability.
At long last the Sky, who had upon awakening found no time to search out his own sleeping children, so busy was he cavorting with the myriad of winged creatures that wheeled and spun about him, saw the strength and fury and grace of the children of his siblings and he marveled. So he went at last to seek his own children, lest the world be incomplete.
He found them upon the peaks of the mountains, stretching their arms and raising their voices into the thin air.
"Come!" he called to them, joyfully. "Come and play!"
"We cannot," they cried, weeping anew. "We are stranded upon these rocks, forgotten by our father!"
Then the sky, stung by this, drew them up, every one into his arms. "Come, my wingless children," he cried, "come and I shall teach you to play!"
And the children of the Sky wrapped themselves in his raiment and flew, delighting in the glory of their freedom.
And so passed the first morning of the World.

I just want to clear something up. I-don't-write-fanfiction!!! I haven't in years and years, and here I am, WRITING FANFICTION! Soooo...reviews are appreciated. Seriously, I only do stuff like this for the attention. ;);) Noo, I can't help it if the compulsion to write sends me fumbling for my keyboard or my pen whenever it wishes.
Anyway.
Avatar does not belong to me. If it did...I would SO marry Iroh. MINE.
