When She Was Here
A drabble
Post-Doomsday
Ten/Rose
The Doctor opened the spiral notebook and picked up his black-inked pen. He held his breath as the pen scraped against the paper as he wrote.
When he was here, I was happy.
I was actually truly happy.
Nothing was in our way.
Nothing held us back.
When she was here, I smiled.
I smiled more than I have ever smiled in my lives.
And she smiled, too.
When she was here, I wasn't alone.
And if I ever started to drift into loneliness, she would help me out of it.
No one has ever done that before.
When she was here, time flew by happily.
It flew by with adventures and excitement.
It flew by with our hands interlocked.
When she was here, I didn't want her to go.
I wanted her to stay with me forever.
And she wanted to stay, too.
When she was here, I was loved.
When she was here, I loved.
I loved her more than the galaxies around us. More than the ground beneath our feet.
I love her with all my hearts.
