This is my first fanfic. A little look inside Elphaba's head during the popular scene. After the Oz-Dust Dance they become bestest friends. But what was Elphaba thinking. Please sit back enjoy and Review! I may add a few lines change up the lyrics and stuff like that. Sorry Elphie might be a little OC.

After the dance at the OzDust ballroomElphaba went back to her shared dorm room and sat on her bed. So much had happened in just one night she needed some time to think. She and Blondie had spent weeks loathing each other and now (according to Galinda anyways they were the bestest of friends). But what if that dance was a trick. Galinda had after all given her that hat as a trick. But then again she had gotten Nessa a date with Boq.

Elphaba laid down on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. This was all so complicated. She had never been good with social things. After all she was green and the artichoke of the school. Give her a math, science, or history. Any subject you name it she can answer it faster than just about anybody at Shiz (teachers included). But when it came to things like popularity or what clothes are in or how many shades of lip gloss there are (Ugh. It made her want to puke just by thinking about it) she never had an answer.

Like that stupid, brainless Vinkun prince Liyero, Miyero, Fiyero whatever his name was said she didn't care what anyone else thought. But deep down she really did care.

"ELPHABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." A quite small and perky blonde wearing a dress to pink for Elphaba's taste came running in at full speed which one would think would be impossible considering how high her high heels were.

"Your first party? Ever?"

"Do funerals count?"

"No Elphaba. Parties are supposed to be fun. With dancing, lots and lots of dancing and pink, lots and lots of pink. Not to mention for a bonus a hot Vinkun Prince." Galinda sighed obviously day dreaming about Fiyero. "Alright now Elphaba you describe a perfect party."

Elphaba hesitated. Was Blondie trying to embarrass her. Could she trust her? After all it had only been one night. One dance when they had become best friends. Not to mention they had spent weeks loathing each other. She didn't know what to do or what she was supposed to say so she answered honestly. "Me, alone, in the library."

Galinda just sighed and shook her head. She couldn't believe her roommate.

They spent the rest of the evening talking, sharing secrets, and have an amazing time!

"Oh! Look its tomorrow!" squealed a very ecstatic Galinda! "Elphie, now that we're friends I've decided to make you my new project!"

"You really don't have to do that."

"Oh Elphaba drop the sarcasm. We're gonna have a great time! And now that we're the bestest of friends,"

"Best," Elphaba corrected "not bestest."

"As I was saying now that we're the bestest of friends we can give each other nicknames. I'll call you Elphie."

"WHAT?! You cannot call me Elphie."

"But Elphie," the blonde pouted. "Your names to long."

"What! My name has exactly the same number of syllables as yours."

"Syllable? What's a syllable?"

"Forget I said anything."

"As I was saying Elphie. You can call me,"

"Blondie can I call you Blondie."

"Galinda! Now let's do makeovers!"

Elphaba watched Galinda go get her emergency makeup kit and started to think about how much time she and Galinda had been loathing each other. She might have finally found true friendship. Even though she was a little well… perky, Galinda was able to see past her green skin. Which is something even her own family had trouble doing. She had a good feeling that she and Galinda were going to be bestest friends."

Oh you know what. I think I hear a certain review button calling your name. Please R&R
