Sup! Rem here! Yeah, I know. I had promised to update tonnes of my fics, and I haven't. But hey, this time, I've got an excuse! *eyes widens* First, my relatives came over from China to visit, and believe me when I tell you that it's getting bitchy over here. =_=" and to make it worse, I've slept on the couch for months! Not a good feeling, I tell you. Also, I've graduated from elementary school, and darn that's a good thing. Finally, the KnB updates on the manga are very, very disappointing. Haven't seen our Akakuro pair in, what, two chappies!
But still, I got the LotR series, a BVB album and also a FMA movie, so it's not that bad. ^_^ Enough of my nagging! On with the angs- I mean fic!
Disclaimer: I do not own KnB in any way or form, I only own my plots and Ocs.
There are things and people that are always beside you, even at the hardest of times. Sometimes, you grow so used to them that you start to take them for granted, and only when they are gone, you realise how much you need them. And then, the weight that they bore with you would come crashing down, you the only pillar left to support it.
Majestic creatures or objects could be brought down with the most insignificant of things. Take the Titanic, for example, gliding through the waters with all of its shining glory, only to be brought down by one mere iceberg.
But some things can never be taken down. Like the shadow and light, the light would always over-throw the darkness.
Kuroko Tetsuya dug his own grave when he had tried to bring the Generation of Miracles back..
Love is fleeting, like beauty. A butterfly is stunning, but its lifespan is but a single day, and after that time had passed, it'd be dead. Gone, flying away like ashes in the wind.
A goldfish's memory lasts for only three seconds, like the fireworks. Blink at the wrong time, and you'd miss it, never seeing the same one again. But if you do see it, the image would be burnt in your memories forever.
Love is also like water, so clear and pure, yet it could be so dirty and grey. But still, people try to hold onto it, afraid to let go. Little did they know, the harder you try to hold onto water, the faster it slips through your fingers, leaving behind the damp wetness in your palms as a reminder to what you've lost.
Had Kuroko Tetsuya not held on so tight, maybe he would had got to admire the pure beauty so a while longer.
Maybe he should had let go, and then he would've spared himself the heartbreak.
But it's too late now.
He had gone on the Titanic, attracted by its beauty. Yet it was the very ship that caused his demise.
He had tried to reach out to the sparkling fireworks, only to be burnt.
He had held on too tightly to the water, it was gone in moments.
He had tried to create a miracle, but a tragedy took place instead.
"Give up, Tetsuya."
Cheers resounded in the court, but not for Serin, but for Rakuzan.
"I've won. You were foolish to ever think of winning over me. Miracles never happen, tragedies do."
Kuroko looked at the retreating back of his former captain, and felt the silent tears trickling down his face.
"I've lost Akashi-kun again."
The shadow had tried to overpower the light, and was instead engulfed by its mightiness.
It was all but another tragedy caused by hope.
