"Toulouse, the greatest thing."

Toulouse knew he could get it right this time; after all it was one line.

"No, no, no, don't tell me. The greatest thing you'll ever.master...make...contract..."

Christian and Satine looked at each other and smiled. They were thinking the exact same thing. Christian walked over to Toulouse.

"Toulouse, it's getting late. Get some rest and we will go over this again tomorrow."

It wasn't very late at all, but Toulouse could take the hint. He knew that Satine and Christian wanted to be alone. "You're right, I'll have this line down by tomorrow.just you wait." Toulouse put his hat on, opened the door, turned around and winked. "Goodnight you two."

Christian walked over to Satine, not taking his eyes off of her at all. "What shall we do now?"

Satine had been in the dressing room all day being plucked, brushed, and tightened into things for the show. She wanted to have some fun tonight. Christian brought out the child in her. The only time that she actually looked happy and youthful was when she was with him. She whispered in his ear, "I have an idea."

Satine made sure no one saw them as they quietly snuck into the Moulin Rouge dance hall, which was now being turned into a beautiful theatre.

"What are we doing here?" Christian's whisper echoed through the empty room.

Satine gave him a short sweet kiss and smiled, "you'll see."

They entered the dressing room. There were clothes, sewing and measuring material, and set pieces everywhere. Christian looked around, "it's been a busy day in here, I can see."

"It has, but now it's time to have some fun." Satine found some wigs and a dark red costume gown, and started to undo her dress. Christian caught on to what she was doing, and found an old suit to put on.

They had finished dressing. Satine tucked her red hair underneath a short brown wig. She turned to Christian and tried to act very serious, "How do I look?"

Christian looked at his love dressed in red. "You look wonderful." Looking at the wig, he let out a laugh.

"Hey don't laugh!" Satine started to giggle.

Christian took Satine by the hand and they danced. He twirled her around. "You are beautiful." He took her in his arms and whispered in her ear, "how wonderful life is, now you're in the world." Satine looked at her poet and felt so full of life. She kissed him passionately.

"I've never known completeness like being here."

They found a red couch in the corner of the dressing room. Christian sat down and Satine relaxed in his lap. He began to stroke her soft cheek, and then leaned over to kiss her lips. He wanted her, and she wanted him. They slowly undressed, their hands moving over each other's bodies. Satine let out a moan of passion.

"wrapped in the warmth of you, loving every breath of you."

Christian wrapped his arms around his love, and they rested there until the early hours of morning.
